Q: The founder of Ranktracker has made a troubling decision by restricting access to their product for LTD ...
(lifetime deal) users who had previously paid upfront for it. This abrupt move has left these loyal customers unable to utilize the product they had invested in.
Upon contacting the support team through the chat, we were informed that an additional payment is required to regain access, despite our original plan explicitly guaranteeing full access without any additional charges. It is disheartening that after committing to a lifetime membership, we are now being coerced into paying for support, rendering the product virtually inaccessible.
Every link we click on, while logged in, redirects us to the 'plans' page, effectively locking us out of the tool we once had unlimited access to. This issue extends to thousands of other Ranktracker users who acquired their licenses through AppSumo.
Numerous attempts to seek assistance from the support team, as well as observations of similar complaints within a software group I'm part of, have proven fruitless. Regrettably, the company seems unwilling to address this matter unless we agree to pay for an additional support plan, a stance that leaves us feeling abandoned and disillusioned.
This situation is incredibly frustrating, as we had never required support before and simply wish to use the tool as initially intended. It's a disheartening turn of events and reflects poorly on the company's commitment to its loyal customers.
Any update?
I thought it was just us. We've been battling Felix via email for a month now, and his only reply is to buy the support package. Ranktracker is a scam now, AppSumo; I want my money back.
I had the same experience as you. Such a scammer is so stupid to cut to his loyal customers. He ( Felix Rose-Collins) will never succeed, all he took was our little money and lost his integrity and the most basic conscience of being a human being
I too purchased a Ranktracker Tier 4 Plan (Nov 2021) with the hopes of this being a vital part of my seo arsenal (Thank God this was a backup purchase!) It sounds to me like a class action lawsuit is in order... Years ago I've had decent success with the FTC (United States Federal Trade Commission) who was, then, the primary entity in charge of going after internet fraudsters (It was not immediate but I was later contacted and informed of two or three of the bad actors who had scammed me who had been put out of business regarding that particular product and in a couple of cases issued a little bit of the money recovered...) I have some copies of Felix's Facebook page (including his mugshot and his admins) where he's had over 4,000 friends (of which many I'm sure are pissed off too...) and between Appsumo and them were talking many hundreds of dissatisfied customers. if everybody were to pitch in, he would definitely feel the heat! I do have an attorney but I haven't contacted them regarding this particular situation... Even so, if a good portion of us contacted the FTC, you would have the United States Government hot on his trail and UM telling you he would definitely feel the heat!! Ok maybe he's from Europe, well yall know they are heavy over there with things like PRIVACY and guess what, yeah scammers and fraudsters, they don't like these guys either! The FTC plus Class Action equal a sure win and vindication for most of us who have been wronged by this fraudster! (His actions and those of his company, regarding this, ARE ILLEGAL!!) He may think he's gotten away but we could make 2024 (and beyond!) a year/s to remember! (Most people, if they know they are being watched, tend to walk a straight and narrow path...)
Have you decided to move forward with this?
As far as I know, they're not based in the US, so FTC won't do anything. Even now with AppSumo's new protection clause, I doubt that enforcement will be possible for service providers sitting on the other side of the globe.
Do they really believe that after this experience we will pay them?
On the contrary, we will leave negative reviews on every page we can access.
I need my money back, AppSumo should file a case against this SCAM Ranktracker.

lawsuit is the only option then
I join the complaint. What do you have in mind that we can do?
Where can we file a complaint about this company and owner?
