I have a confession to make. Even though '# of customer ratings' should never be considered a reliable metric here on AppSumo (because some deal authors will incentivise leaving reviews, by tweaking plan limits, etc.), I do tend to use this very sort filter when doing my monthly scroll of AS. In fact, I nearly missed this deal because of it.
To start, let's address the popularity issue - why does this deal not have as many customer ratings, questions, etc. as other deals? I'm only assuming here, but I think it's simply a case of target market. I don't know it for a fact, but I'm willing to bet that the great majority of AS users are solopreneurs or small business owners. Is this deal for them? Truthfully... probably not, unless you're a web development agency or freelancer, or, you're an SMB/SME that expects to achieve exponential growth and need your customer facing web assets to scale in the near future.
To understand who this deal is for, a little back story: By day, I am a senior software developer. Two companies ago, I worked for a well funded start-up that had built their entire front-end in React, with one exception: their customer blog. Why, you ask? Because the content creators didn't know how to code of course! They needed a friendly CMS to interact with, and WordPress was their go to (primarily, because something like React Bricks didn't exist then, or wasn't on their radar). In other areas besides the blog and within the React front-end, we used 'Contentful' - which is an example of a 'Headless CMS' you'll see referred to often in the deal info and documentation. The downside to a Headless CMS is that you are basically filling in a bunch of forms with content, which will then populate a template created by your developers. It's a completely disjointed process, and in comparison to what React Bricks is offering here, a jarring user experience as you flip between the forms and the populated template.
My point in all this is, is that I don't quite think AS has hit the mark on the marketing material in this case. It's a case of mistaken target market, or worse, if you are trying to attract the solopreneur or small business owner, more effort needed to go into *why* React Bricks is better than just using WordPress like the blog in the story above!
My only negative points regarding this deal are that the deal terms themselves aren't very favourable. It would also have been nice to split the allocated limits between multiple apps, instead of the entire plan limits being allocated to one app only. Besides this, obviously there are features that will need fleshing out as part of the product's roadmap. This is normal - products here on AS typically come here at an early stage in the product lifecycle after all.
I'll conclude by saying this: The concept of React Bricks is nothing short of revolutionary. And yes, I am aware that that word should be reserved only for special circumstances. Yet here we are. Well done to Matteo and the team!

Hi J, thank you for your kind words. A positive review like this is like a breath of fresh air :) I think you are right that maybe we are not really in target for solopreneurs and no-coders: we are in fact on-boarding big startups and enterprises (now on-boarding the Gallaudet University and a big US TV channel). We have many things coming in the next weeks and months: I need to update the Roadmap...
I love it when a deal like this involves some lessons in development/programming. It is a cut above the rest because it lets you provide your content marketers/non-developers update their site visually and without much effort.
However, the reason for the 3 tacos are the poor limits included on their AS packages. It's definitely not for real-world use. It's more like for testing the waters and when you have decided to use it for your clients, you must subscribe to their monthly plans. I full stacked on this and may refund after playing with it and just decide later on when I need it for me and my clients. Sorry, this is such a unique product (and I really love it) but your campaign limits make it unusable for long-term consumption for me and my clients. Thank you!
This is a really great product and I suggest you snap it up before it's gone.
Not sure if the visual edit has been undersold here but it is simply amazing. You just need to try it out to see what it is really about and the drag and drop function makes you pretend you are an expert developer:). More so, you can see your results in real-time!
We plan to use this for blogs and marketing pages. We have experimented with the blog which just makes your life extremely easy at the same time you can learn CSS and React/Next by studying the codes if of interest.
Three suggestions if it fits your ethos: 1. This product is a no-brainer for bloggers, content creators and marketers without the need to learn to code. If not too much work, Matteo, you need a simple end-to-end blog on loading up the code on VS Code and exporting to a hosting provider, our content writer could not follow the gif/video on your site. This seems simple but can be complicated if you're not familiar.
2. On your website https://docs.reactbricks.com/docs/bricks/external-content/ you talked about using external data, but there is no clear example. You mentioned Shopify in this case. Being able to link products from your store with APIs to use as a sales landing page for ads will open this up to marketers and allow the ability to try out multiple creatives and landing pages which is a must for running ads. Or simply build a dashboard to monitor sales across all platforms.
3. Add options for animations, and charts e.g charts.js, similar to your maps brick etc.
Overall, this is a really brilliant product that bridges the gap from being able to create things really quickly without being an expert developer. Brilliant product and thanks for bringing this on Appsumo.
