Genuinely useful way to make video clips from longform video
This is a deal that I have used and benefited from more than a lot of other deals I have bought. Every week I am obligated to create content for my clients and it can be a burden. Fortunately over the years I have developed enough long form content that this tool has been genuinely useful for me to repurposing content into short clips. It has a nice library of caption styles which are also useful.
I'm giving it five stars because this tool has saved me lots of time this year.
Here is my feedback for the developers so they can continue improving this product and making a world class. In the editing section for the transcripts, it is still a little bit clumsy. It is hard to edit words, it is hard to delete them from the transcript, it is also a little bit difficult to add segments before and after although it is not impossible. In fact I haven't found any roadblocks that stopped me from editing, but I have found hurdles and I think that working on the editor should be at the top of the list for improving this product.
The other hurdle that I find annoying is that projects that you create and come back to a few months later, have been forgotten. It's not saved to memory or something which means that you need to reload the video and go through it all over again. So when you create a new project, it's generally useful for a few weeks and then after that it's not so useful and you have to re-create the project.

Mar 18, 2026Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review. It means a lot to hear that reap.video has been genuinely useful for your weekly client content workflow and has saved you meaningful time.
We also really appreciate the specific feedback. You are absolutely right that the transcript editing experience can still feel clumsy in places, and improving the editor is already a priority for us. Feedback like this helps us focus on the parts that matter most in real workflows.
Your point about older projects needing to be reloaded is also well taken. We understand how frustrating that can be, especially when you want to return to previously prepared work without starting over.
Thank you again for the support and for taking the time to explain both what is working and what needs improvement.
