Affordable, but Still Needs Work
Reelify AI is very affordable compared with tools like Opus Clip and Vizard, but unfortunately, it’s also not nearly as user-friendly.
My biggest issue is the editing workflow. It feels a little wonky, and the AI doesn’t seem to consistently identify the best moments from longer videos. I primarily use these tools to turn long-form podcasts into short-form reels, and I often find myself wondering why certain clips were selected while much stronger moments were missed.
The workflow also becomes frustrating when you're creating a lot of content. I regularly make 20+ reels from a podcast episode, and I haven't found a way to create presets for things like video format, clip length, titles, captions, and other settings. Having to adjust these settings individually for every video adds a lot of unnecessary time.
Another small but surprisingly annoying issue is downloading. I can't seem to change the download folder, which makes finding and organizing a large batch of exported reels more difficult than it should be.
The price is definitely Reelify AI's biggest strength. There's a lot of potential here, and if they improve the AI clip selection, streamline the editing process, and add customizable presets that can be applied across an entire project, it could become a very good alternative to Opus Clip or Vizard.
For now, though, if you're producing a high volume of short-form content from long podcasts, the lower price comes with some workflow headaches.
