Q: Why High Resource Usage -CPU/Memory
I love the idea of using Remio, but it uses around 50% of my system resources just sitting in the background.
With the new built-in apps being developed, I was hoping to use it to work with my file structure—for example, moving files to folders and renaming files. However, with such high resource usage, it is simply too heavy for my system.

Apr 26, 2026A: Hi! The high resource usage is usually caused by remio parsing your files in the background, it should settle down once the indexing is complete. Using or building apps won't take up much resources at all. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]
