Q: I am writing to report multiple challenges I have encountered while attempting to run the Reoon Code Snippet ...
Manager application on a Linux-based Ubuntu system. Additionally, I have experienced difficulties when attempting to submit a support request through your website, as it consistently results in a "403 Forbidden" response.
Application Operation Issues: When launching the application and navigating to the Config tab, I noticed that clicking on the "Browse" button while leaving the "Custom Snippets Directory" section empty causes the application to terminate unexpectedly. This behavior has proven to be quite perplexing, as I expected to be able to specify a directory location such as 'Google Drive' to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, I am unable to input any information into the field designated for this purpose.
Additionally, I would like to bring to your attention that clicking on the terminal window, where debug information is being displayed for the application, results in the application abruptly closing. This action was undertaken with the intent of copying the debug information for use in the Error Reporting window on your website. Regrettably, upon successfully entering the message for your support team and attempting to submit it, a "403 Forbidden" response was encountered.
Primary Concern: Shared Directory Configuration: My primary objective is to configure the application to utilize a shared directory accessible from multiple computers within my office. As a programmer, I routinely work across various operating systems, including Mac, Linux, and Windows. Consequently, having the ability to store and access code snippets in a shared location is crucial for my workflow efficiency.
I kindly request your assistance in resolving these issues, particularly with regard to configuring the application to utilize a shared directory. Additionally, any guidance on successfully submitting error reports through your website would be greatly appreciated.
I value your prompt attention to these matters and look forward to a resolution that will enable me to fully utilize the application as intended.
A: Hi, thank you very much for sharing all the information. Probably you tried submitting codes through the contact form and maybe it was blocked because of security reasons by the website firewall. However, you can contact us directly at support@reoon.com. The Linus has many operating systems. Please let us know which operating system (and the version) you are using. We can check that from our end and try to figure out the issue. We really appreciate that you have taken the time to provide us with all the details.
A: Yes, you can do that. To add the JavaScript use the following steps: 1. Go to the configs tab of the software. 2. In the "Programing Languages Setup" section (right side), click the button "Add" from the bottom part. 3. Enter Language Name: JavaScript and File Extension: .js 4. Press ok button and javascript should be added. Let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great day.
So you can add javascript and it looks like you can expand or collapse syntax; for example a function. However it looks like there is no syntax highlighting with colors. Are there any plans to do that in the roadmap. This is significant for me.
Also will eventually offer a feature where a user can add there a custom language template. Like another user I use some trading platform scripting languages like Thinkscript or Pinescript.
The syntax highlighting with colors is available for JavaScript. Please make sure you have used the correct extension (.js) when adding the JS. Also, you can try changing the editor theme and check.
Q: I purchased this product in hopes of saving snippets and code and being able to test it as well.
It is very good at saving and organizing the code, however even after contacting support I was unable to get any of the testing to work on the Mac Platform. This including even simple HTML rendering in the default browser.
Support was unable to help me inthe end, and there really were no directions on how to 'set up' the ability to make the testing of code actually work, at least on Mac platform.
Have I missed something here? If yes then please let me know. Thank you
A: Thank you very much for telling us all the details. The primary focus of this tool is to help the developer arrange their codes and other snippets. As this is not an IDE, complete support of running the code for all language may not be available like the actual IDE. However, you can try setting up custom commands from the settings that can work on your Mac. Please contact our support for further help. Thanks.
A: Thanks for the query. The snippet sharing feature is not directly available at the moment. However, you can sync that between your multiple computers via any cloud drive.
A: Hi, the if that can be done from the command line/terminal, it can be integrated with the software. In the configuration tab, you will find an option to add/configure additional languages.

Q: Do you support Javascript syntax highlighting?
I don't see a javascript file type; only java. On the config dialog it says that custom snippets are a Premium feature. Do we get that with this deal?
If so what are the steps to create our own custom syntax config?
