Revitalize Your Relashes
To be honest, I don't think that the comparison to Gather.town or Zoom is the best decision for this deal page.
You don't necessarily get any of the same features/functionality that you would expect in a Zoom meeting, nor are you dealing with virtual environments and avatars/sprites as you experience in Gather.town (or Mesh on PG).
That being said, what Relash does provide is an unique experience. The ability to create multiple rooms for different purposes is quite nice - generally a limitation of the 'competitors' in this space. You can have your fun music hangout session running simultaneous to your board meeting.
I would like to see some key components introduced, like a way to resize the videos of participants, because as of right now, they are way too small. The other fear I have is that even when increasing the size of the bubbles, you're going to run into issues with overlapping if there are a good number of participants huddled around - the lack of a separate area of the screen, solely dedicated to video (as seen in Gather.town and Mesh) means things can get cluttered...fast.
Overall it's a more novel platform than what we're accustomed to on AppSumo. Depending on how the development goes in the coming months will dictate whether or not I retain this for future use.

May 9, 2024You're actually right on the money. We've a strong roadmap to get private spaces like tables, desks and other customizations so that you can organize a room a lot more effectively and have your entire team in a single place.
From a UI/UX standpoint we've a few ideas around spatial screenshares and apps to declutter the space. For bubbles, we resize as you move closer or away. This declutters a lot. However, we're still experimenting with multiple ways we could show video that can lead to better interactions. Exciting times ahead.
What's cool is we're not only thinking about the problems you've mentioned but actively building for it. This gives me confidence. Thank you for this review!
