I purchased Retable as a LIFETIME deal and I just woke up on a charming email from the Retable team, stating that my account will be deactivated the next day unless I log in until then, for the simple reason I did not log in during 3 months. I simply cannot accept the threat of having my account deactivated in no time and lose all my data for such a random reason. What is the next step? My car dealership comes and takes my keys if I don't drive my car enough during the Summer? Thanks, but no thanks. I will export my data and stay away from this dishonest organization.
So, I paid for tier one and played with it a bit initially. I have two projects (out of unlimited) with no automations yet - just experiments - and just haven’t had time to learn how to use the tools yet. In my mind, I expect that when I purchase something, I can determine when I will use it and my content will be there for me to pick up again when I’m ready, or when it’s more ready. Not so with Retable I guess. Today I received this email “We waited for a long time to hear from you but we couldn't. Unfortunately, we're inactivating your account because you haven't logged into your Retable account for over 3 months. If you log into your Retable account by tomorrow, you can recover your data and account. Remember that when your account is inactivated, you will also lose your data.” I’m on vacation but luckily I was able to access my account via phone so as to not lose everything I’ve created so far. Keep this in mind if you’re thinking of “shelving” this one for some time. You don’t really own your account - even when paying for it apparently.
at the beginning I was happy with the difficult beginnings altarpiece but it worked well and since an update, the cells were no longer updated, which is annoying because I have a lot of tables that update in automatic via pabbly. After a week of speaking with support on discord, I'm still asked questions about the problem even though from the first day I detailed everything, and the questions are like "have you read the instructions", seriously I tell you that the automations worked and since your update it no longer works, and I am asked a new question every 6 hours, obviously it is not progressing, and it does not solve my problem, so I switched all my tables to the main competitor, which offers almost everything the same for free. and the automations work perfectly, plus I was part of a new thing, and basically I was told "no need", whereas this new thing was a request because my clients are struggling with the visual card or it You have to click to see all the cells, whereas it would be simpler to see everything directly like with competitors. and yes customers are on mobile so not having a click is understandable
Of all the products that I have bought on AppSumo, this is one that I want and need to work well, but sadly it’s got a long way to go. Automations are not straightforward and the mobile app is awful to use and navigate. That’s me as a user. My VA is very happy with the discord support, but if we don’t make progress soon, this one is going to sit on the shelf for 5 years until it improves dramatically. I want to populate content for committees, put in calendar fields to drive/schedule periodic emails to participants for them to update a status form on progress and then generate a status report for review at the committee meeting. If I can think it, surely Retable can do it, but oh no, you need a PhD in software engineering to execute tasks that a 4 year old can draw with crayons… come on guys 🤷♂️
The mobile app is clunky, not intuitive and it’s easier just to put the entries in my calendar, which is mobile responsive, unlike the Retable app.
I want you to do well, I want to use your platform and mobile app.
