Q: Hello again retune and Dhananjoy, Unlimited published chatbots and workspaces on (Tier 4) and unlimited ...
upload files with branding removed on these bots. They will be able to have separate API keys, etc. Will this unlimited chatbot on unlimited sites exhaust your resources quickly, if not please explain?
Again, yes, I am interested in several chatbot tools. But I would like to invest in one that will be around after 2 years, following the AI and chatbot phase. A company with a great roadmap and scalability with the product.
Please, correct me if I am wrong. I assume since no tokens are applied to these bots and it is bring your own API. This is one reason this isn't an exhaustive resource of re:tune, like others?
Also, how is the data stored, if we are uploading documents and .txt files with personal or business info?
I apologize for all the questions (and if any were redundant to re:tune), but I would really like to make the best decision in the bot software I invest in. Much luck and success to your team and thanks in advance for your reply! Best regards
-PS, yes sumolings, again, I posted this since others have similar offerings/service :)

May 14, 2024A: Hey! I love that you are asking the right questions around the feasibility and sustainability of our business!
While it's very tempting in the beginning to get into the rat race of competition, which can turn into a race to the bottom and then eventual collapse, it helps to talk to customers like you to keep myself grounded in the long-term.
To answer your first question, yes, the reason we don't provide tokens to lifetime plan is precise so that we don't exhaust our resource in an unsustainable way and die. To be honest, I was initially hesitant to launch retune in AppSumo, expecting a ton of pushback against our decision to not give tokens.
And while there was some pushbacks in the beginning, I am glad that the community has started to acknowledge why that is not a sustainable practice, and has come to appreciate the freedom and control they can enjoy by bringing their own key.
All our cost right now are in servers. We have SQL databases as application storage, Google Cloud storage to store raw files, and Vector databases to store embeddings.
And here's full transparency, if we make $0 in sales after the campaign, and never get any recurring customers, then yes, eventually, in 3-5 years, unlimited usage can exhaust the revenue we will take earn from the campaign - that said, even in the highly unlikely scenario of that happening, we will open source the application so anyone can run their own retune using free-tier tools and services.
Let me know if you have further questions and I am always happy to answer!

Ok, thank you for answering! There are several chatbot offerings here in AS. I would like to know if "your" opinion, what differentiates re:tune and makes you all stand out, what benefits or features are you most proud of? I am asking because I assumed the uploading of documents (pdf/txt files) were what made you guys an anomaly. However, I see now other chatbot's do the same. Your Tier 4 would be my interest, so I would like to know what features are YOU or the RETUNE TEAM excited about now or upcoming in your roadmap?
I read the page and 1 other product seems great as well. If YOU, not the sales page could provide pertinent information on why a sumoling should invest in Tier 4 > sell me lol. Only asking because your Tier 4 plan is quite pricy. I would like to ensure if I do purchase it is a feasible investment.
Thanks

I love this question, and I am going to try and share what we are going to build.
I will not try to sell you, since for many users, some of the other tools might actually be a better alternative for today. My goal is to paint a picture of where we are going.
We are not building a chatbot company, we are building an AI-enablement company.
Right now, retune might not be the best product if you are looking to build a FAQ bot, or a support bot, or a sales bot. Or if you simply want to click a few buttons and want the chatbot to "work", without having to prompt anything.
There might be other tools, which is built specifically for this use-cases, where you don't have to even write any prompts (or have any option to), and they might work for your specific use case.
We are not building that. Today, we are building a platform for you to build your own AI. And we are also building other tools for you to easily monitor and understand what's actually going on under the hood, so you can master how to get AI to do whatever you want it to do.
We are adding more and more ways to bring your data, starting with docs and websites, then audio, images and videos. We are building so you can teach your AI to "see" and "understand" everything that you and your business do.
We are also building deep integrations with other tools, in a general way, so that over time, retune AI can use "any" other third party tools, not just the ones we manually integrate. This way we are teaching our AI to "act" in the world, not being stuck in just the chatbot.
The future? We imagine every website having it's own AI, not just a chatbot, which is simply one interface. The AI can "see" what the users are doing in the website, live, and can help them with anything, anytime they are stuck or encounters any friction. The AI can "act" in any way the user wants, like "hey AI, buy me 2 cartons of the milks that I bought six months ago", or "hey can you find all emails about X, create drafts for each of them and send me a summary in whatsapp?".
And imagine, the website or product owner, talking to the same AI, "hey which users abandoned their carts today, and why?", "can you write them each a personalized email with personal offers?".
Imagine each website, each app, turning into a living AI persona, that you simply talk to, and it does what you want it to.
This is what we are building, night and day.
This also means, in the short term, retune will suck at many specific things, compared to all the new tools that will pop up every day.
And we are betting on the future. The founding team have decades of experience, together, building and working at some of the best product teams in the world (from Y-combinator), and this is the future we are building now.
