Get it while you can!

As a bit of an appsumo junkie, I've had to curb my spending slightly, and concentrate more on immediate needs, so I say this with care: Robomotion is one of those tools you should buy even if you don't intend to use it right away.

Now, for the next few months; keep the knowledge that you have access to Robomotion running in your mind. Every single time you do that pain in the ass task for a new client, employee, email, daily routine etc, that you have to do over and over again, know that in all likelihood, you could automate many hours of that section of your life with that Robosomething tool you bought a couple of months back.
Then go automate it.

Robomotion successfully walks a fine line between simplicity and potential. Yes; the platform has a few areas where knowledge of just a tiny bit of javascript comes in handy, but for the most part, it's drag and drop, and being able to code my own solutions for unique problems is now possible because Robomotion does 99% of the heavy lifting.

An example: As a bit of a tech optimist, I'm always banging on to my friend about how she could automate so many parts of her day. (Excel macros can do everything, right?... Right? 😬) But then she explains the process, and it's not so simple. She has 2 excel spreadsheets and needs to tally the data between them, but the only unique identifier is stuck in a pdf a mile down her email inbox. She has to look up the csv record, search her inbox for data from a cell, open the attached pdf, look for the identifier in a list of them, open the other csv, search the correct record with the data from the pdf, and pull the data from one sheet to another. She spends hours on this each week.
The wrinkle, of course, is the email/pdf nonsense. Robomotion can search emails. Robomotion can parse pdfs. Robomotion can work with excel spreadsheets. Perhaps I will gift her a flow one day.

Or there's my first use case (mostly for fun and experimentation) of pulling screenshots in multiple screensizes of my clients' websites, adding them to a multi-device mockup, uploading these to my website and sending an email to my client with the files. This was a weekly task, that would take an hour or so.
Building the Robomotion process took an hour, and running the process takes less than a minute of interaction. 51 hours saved in the first year.

Using Robomotion properly will require learning it, and that will take time. But once you know it (even just a little), you become aware that most things can (and should) be automated. Spend 5 hours learning (and building on) the platform, and save yourself 100s (perhaps 1000s) of hours and human mistakes each year.

The human brain is awesome, and shouldn't be wasted on simple repetition. If you're here on Appsumo, then you're probably a creative thinker. Free up your time by learning to build your very own robot, to do the stuff you should never really have had to be doing more than once in the first place.
