TL;DR: we support 720p at this time, we will support 1080p next year, the video usage in app is clunky and must be rebuilt.
Our video recording feature is still in beta.
At the moment, we record in 720p (HD).
Don't forget that most webcam provide a 4:3 ratio only.
1080p is "full HD" and I have not yet allowed this quality to assess the impact of video recording over our server first but I see no reason not to move forward.
The video experience on the host side has to be rebuilt and may give the impression that the video is cropped but all original files are available and can be downloaded without any processing on our side.
If you need a video recorder right now: you can use it. If you need a video editor right now: you should wait or use another tool.
