A: Hi heyoliver,

For transcription we use 2 services:

- Deepgram

- Google Cloud Service

Deepgram is the default provider and only provides English today (and English is the only supported language on Rumble today too but don't hesitate to upvote another one in our public roadmap: https://feedback.rumble.studio/language-requests)

The transcription is applied to every audio/video files and this transcription is included in every plan.

We use this transcription to let you "search" in your files for example. This transcription will be later used for audio editing (cut a world => cut audio), and video snippet generation.

You can copy a transcription in a click of a button and you can download a guest transcription as DOCX file or CSV file.

Don't hesitate to try the app to see how it goes :)

Best,

Joris

So I can copy the transcript and paste in my notes or under the video on my website?

How accurate is the transcription?

I can edit the transcription on your platform and it will change the audio?

Will your platform detect filler words in the transcription like “um” and remove them or highlight them to be removed in the future?

Will it detect periods of silence and highlight the areas of the transcription for me to review to remove?

I was initially looking at this for just podcasts but can think of many ways to use it. Thx!

Hi @a55...,
Yes you can copy the transcript from the app. There is also some utility function to download the full transcript of multiple guests at the same time.
And despite what was true when I answered the original question here, we support now other languages than English. Still using Deepgram and GCP, their accuracy is very high on the market.

You can then use the transcript and the video you export the way you want :)

We do not provide yet a "text based audio editor" but we want to. You can upvote the feature here: https://feedback.rumble.studio/feature-requests/p/text-based-audio-editor
There is(was?) a deal on AppSumo for a tool focusing on this particular use-case of audio editing called Trebble (filler words, text based audio editing, silences... ).

Rumble has a lot to do ahead but we are moving fast :)

Best,
Joris
