Q: Quick question RTW team.
I see everyone talks about an Android app. Seems there's an IOS one already.
I've never used RTW before so gotta ask, this app is meant for admins to manage RTW via mobile or does this mean that ANY person that attends a RTW event has to download that app to see the event? (Meaning they get sent a link to enter the session -my guess here- and people can't enter unless doing it through the app? Like, no browser, desktop support?)
If the answer to the previous question is "yes", that means people without an iPhone can enter a RTW event?

May 14, 2024A: Hi there, thanks for the question!
The app is for attendees who do not have access to a desktop browser. Organizers simply go to runtheworld.today in their desktop browser to create an event, they do not need to download an app. We recently had both android and iphone apps for attendees to join, but due to very low android usage, we decided to take it away. However, we are considering bringing it back after receiving feedback. But anyone who has access to any desktop, laptop, or IOS device can access Run The World events.
Hi Ryan! Thanks for the answer.
Just to be clear:
1. Can people attend my RTW events through mobile without an app or is that a must have? (As in, people would need to download the app, then enter any event).
2. People with an Android device can't attend any RTW events in any way atm?
Thanks!
Hi Carlos,
1. On a mobile device, they would need our app. If they only have an Android device, they will not be able to join via Mobile.
2. For those with an Android device, they can't attend from their phone, but can attend via computer where we are a browser-based platform.
Hope this clears up the confusion!
