Super Tool - But Needs a Little Love
Ive played with this tool for a few hours and reached out to support. After spending some time with it I feel like a 4/5 is a fair review.
My reason for getting this is that there are very few tools that can bring people to talk to as you do webinars... some platforms can but you have to determine them as a presenter ahead of time. This one works well from the aspect of doing webinars and then getting people on stage to ask questions. I have complex topics and writing out a long question in text is not always nice for an older audience.
First lets start with the positives...
✅ The tool is easy to use
✅ Can hop on pretty quick for people
✅ Comparing it to other webinar tools, this tool is great for an older audience with some issues ill mention below
The Bad:
❌ Support is slow... hopefully they are in development mode, but i think this company is just laid back. I did get a chance to talk to Ryan and was helpful in a live session, but they are slow if you are doing live chat or email
❌ Mic or video cam cannot be changed during the session - really sucks if you are doing a test on different systems or doing audio tests for people on different mics... yikes (most software you can change it any time)
❌ The registration has pop ups (meaning opens link in new window) this is a big no-no. It should just open in the same window. The reason is many browsers block pop ups and i found older people struggle with this. Even my browser without regular pop up blockers was blocking the registration and it took 3 times for me to figure out what the issue was... DEF MUST CHANGE SOON.
❌ Can't make the share screen FULL screen while i am watching the presentation - this is a big no-no as well if you have a technical subject.
❌ Pop up chat would be nice so i can add it in on the side or move it around.
❌ If you are running events - yes would be nice to replace the logo at the top with your own logo... that is a given. Many other companies allow you to do this.
❌ Video quality is so-so - hopefully they will bump it up in the next few months.
Overall the deal is fair, and if the tool is useful for you - you can make it work. There are some confusing things like once you start a conference then do you start with a cocktail or firechat or something else and its like - which do i choose? does it matter?
Note: I wish the deal did have like 5 or 10 sessions at least in the higher tier plan, but I am not deducting anything for that. I might have to bite their offer just to have more sessions to run classes, but really I feel like that should have been included at least a bit more.
