Q: Need better understanding of how credit/events work

I have Independent analytics on my site. It says for this month I have 16,828 views. Rybbits says 23,550 views. So this is confusing why the difference?
As well Rybbit says this month I have used 41,807/100,000 events. This is close to half of my credits for one site that is a local, seasonal business and we are in our low season. So there is no way these credits will be enough during our high season.
I am obviously missing something and need better understanding of what is using my credits. I did not add any extra event tracking. Only using the defaults.
Can you please explain:
1. Why is there a difference of 6,722 in page views
2. What is using all the extra credits. Shouldn't 24k page views equal 24k credits used.
3. used on one site. tier 2 includes 10 sites which is obviously not enough credits for 10 sites unless they are only pager

Please share your findings with us here, because this is a bit concerning. Usually this isn't much of a concern with other analytics tools, so not sure why its the same with Rybbit. There shouldn't be that big of a difference with Independent Analytics, as that is a similar tool as well.

Here is an update. He never did confirm why the two account have different page views. But he did mention some things that are using up credits
- a little less than half of the event usage is used by web vitals.
- error tracking and web vitals are using credits.
- Outbound link clicks are counted as events and therefore use credits.

Thanks, Andria. My understanding is that Page Views are always on by default, as that's usually the main counting metric used by these tools.

All the other events (error tracking, web vitals, outbound link clicks, etc.) are off by default and they use up credits if you switch them on in the settings.

So basically you had all these metrics switched on? Was that the issue?
