Often, us Sumolings are asked to buy the roadmap. Meaning: we're buying what isn't there yet.

What I love about Scribbbe is they have already delivered what I'm looking for. Can it be improved? Absolutely. But the core product is there and just needs tweaking.

👉 Otter.AI vs. Scribbbe

I did a test run using their free 5-minutes worth of credits before fully stacking. I ran the same audio through both Scribbbe and Otter.ai. The results were mostly comparable, but Otter.ai ultimately won by identifying more words correctly in the last half of my test audio. The first 30 seconds were nearly identical between the two, however. Not a bad showing for a much smaller company.

🚨 I tried to include my comparison here, but due to length constraints, I can't. If you go to the "Questions" tab and search for my name, you'll see a question where I include the text outputs of both services for the same audio.

🎯 Pro Tip: Use their "Punctuation Identification" option (it may not be available currently in all languages, but I used it for my English transcription). Without the punctuation, the transcript was a mess. I'm not quite sure why it's defaulted to off. 🤷‍♂️

👍 Improvements / Feature Requests:
As I said, I don't feel like I was buying the roadmap here. I needed audio transcription and I got it. Input audio, out comes text. It worked for me and was largely accurate. With that said, there are improvements that I hope to see:

🌮 #1. I would like the dashboard to update in real-time. It seemed like the status wouldn't update unless I refreshed the page.
🌮 #2. I want it to not only understand multiple voices (which it currently does), but I'd like it to break down the transcript by voice like Temi.com does.

Speaker 2: So excited!
Speaker 1: Yes! Can't wait!

Temi also lets you name Speaker 1 and Speaker 2 so the transcript output uses their name.

🌮 3. M4A file format support: audio is moving in this direction. Better quality, smaller file size.

🌮 4. More export options. Currently, Scribbbe only offers DOCX and SRT. I'd like to see a Google Docs export as well as plain txt export.
