If you are serious about exponential business.. this is for you.

I bought this product almost a year ago from a private deal and like many others put this on my shelf waiting for a marketplace business opportunity as I found it to be too complex to build a simple store. But now that I have multiple ones (currently building), I'm getting as many stores as I can before the price goes up.

So here’s my take (no hype, just what I found).

If you're an entrepreneur looking to launch a simple online store with the sole objective of starting to sell as soon as possible, you'll probably find yourself overwhelmed by Selldone's complex dashboard, especially considering other platforms that are simpler (but less versatile) and make launching an online store much easier and faster.

Now, if you're a forward-thinking entrepreneur or business owner looking at a complex business model or digital ecosystem, or if you have an established brand, a franchise company, or act as a connector between suppliers/manufacturers and buyers, or if you're the director of a strategy and implementation agency for the aforementioned types of businesses, you'll find in Selldone a technology partner with a constantly evolving 360-degree infrastructure adaptable to almost any business model, top-notch support, and founders whose goal is to make Selldone one of the best platforms in its broad category. All this at LTD pricing and with a very small percentage of sales.

I have a particular case, building for emerging markets where consumption requires its own twists (payment methods, logistics, etc.), I have found support to answer all of my questions and a technical team that can make this possible for a fraction of what it would cost to develop on any other platform. And I don't say this lightly; I've done my research, and similar solutions cost over $1500/month just for licenses and basic support, plus setup ($$$), plus customizations ($$$), and some plug-and-play platforms are impossible to customize because they're SaaS, so you have to adapt your model to the platform, not the other way around. But the formula for success is the other way around.

I want to emphasize the truly impressive evolution of the platform. Not two months go by without them releasing new features that go beyond simple functionality (they even have an open-source version available now). These developments not only respond to market trends but also to the recommendations and missing pieces identified by platform users.

An example to this: one of the main barriers to getting started with Selldone was the initial setup and the dashboard that it was and still is just overwhelming.. They been doing a lot of work with tutorials, tooltips, visual explanations but when you see the big picture you understand that there’s a limit of simplification you can do when you provide that level of functionalities and customization for complex business (if you ever touched SAP or any ERP you know what I’m talking about).. so now there’s a new response to that pain point with the launch of their Genesis AI (I haven't used it yet, but I'll update this review when I do), which hopefully will eliminate the pain to launch a store or marketplace by allowing you to define the bulk of the processes and design through prompts. As I said earlier, they will always improve based on what we users need.

What would I like to see next? (or perhaps they're already on the platform but I haven't explored enough to find them yet)
-- Omnichannel AI shopping assistant (proprietary or integrated with tools like DMChamp).
-- Robust, personalized AI shopping experience.
-- AI-optimized guidelines for listed products or services to help keep the platform agile (image size conversion, clear and error-free text, aesthetics, and image quality) and reject those that don't comply, indicating the reasons.
-- Expand and strengthen governance tools for arbitration (buyer protection, dispute resolution, reliable reputation system) and fulfillment, ensuring comprehensive integration within the platform.
-- Aggregator and API-first model: this might be possible by working directly with the team, but I'll continue exploring simplified methods with some vibe coding or tools that facilitate integration with the Selldone API.

In my experience, this investment is proving to be more than just a software purchase; it's the acquisition of a partner (a particular thank you to Alireza for all the patience). But if I focus solely on the product, I can say it's one of the best purchases I've ever made, the one with the greatest potential for exponential ROI and ensure that if the team maintains this pace, the product you buy today will be even more powerful in a year, whether in terms of features or the ability to support new business models, all at no additional cost.

Hi Pats,

Wow. Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review.

What I appreciate most is not the praise itself, but the fact that you clearly understand the trade-offs that exist when building software for real businesses. It's easy to compare platforms by looking at screenshots or measuring how quickly a simple store can be launched. It's much harder to evaluate what happens months or years later when the business grows, processes become more complex, and new requirements emerge.

You captured that reality perfectly.

The truth is that Selldone was never designed to be just the fastest way to launch a basic online store. From the beginning, our goal was to build a platform that could grow with the business instead of forcing the business to adapt to the platform. That decision made many things harder for us, but we believed long-term flexibility was worth the challenge.

Reading your review tells me that vision came across, and that means a lot.

I also want to thank you for your comments about our support and team. Features can eventually be copied. Interfaces can be redesigned. But the relationship between a company and its users is much harder to replicate.

One thing we have always tried to do is stay accessible. We genuinely want to hear from merchants when they encounter challenges, discover opportunities, or simply have ideas that could improve the platform. A surprising number of features in Selldone started as conversations with users who cared enough to share their experiences.

Many people see the product today, but they don't see the years of discussions, experiments, redesigns, improvements, and lessons learned behind it. That's why your comments about continuous evolution resonated with me.

We have never considered Selldone a finished product.

Commerce changes. Technology changes. Customer expectations change. Business models change. So we have to keep evolving as well.

What excites me most is that we are still early in this journey. Many of the ideas we dreamed about years ago are only now becoming possible. The pace of innovation is accelerating, and that creates opportunities to remove more friction from entrepreneurship and help business owners focus on creating value instead of wrestling with tools.

At the same time, we remain committed to the principles that brought us here:

• Businesses should own their future.
• Flexibility matters.
• Software should adapt to the business, not the other way around.
• Trust is earned every day.

Your review is also a reminder of how diverse the Selldone community has become. Some merchants run simple online stores, while others operate marketplaces, service businesses, digital platforms, and entirely unique business models. Seeing entrepreneurs use Selldone in ways we never originally imagined is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

On a personal note, thank you for your patience, trust, and support throughout our conversations. People often see the product, but behind every platform there is a relationship between a team and the entrepreneurs who believe in what they're building. We never take that trust for granted.

The reality is that no single person deserves credit for what has been built. Behind Selldone is an incredible team that works every day to improve the platform, solve difficult problems, and support our users. I am fortunate to work alongside them, and we are all fortunate to have users like you who challenge us, support us, and help us see where we can improve.

Thank you again for sharing your experience so openly. Reviews like this motivate the entire team and remind us why we do what we do.

We're grateful to have you as part of the Selldone family, and we're excited to continue building alongside you in the years ahead.

Warm regards,

Alireza
