You can cancel this anytime, if you feel it doesn't suit you needs. It also comes with a 3-day refund period (based on your first purchase date).

Use the Upgrade link on your user interface to upgrade to Empire Add-on. And use the cancel button on your Billing page under Settings to cancel.
