Thanks for writing in; we are happy to help out.
SendFox doesn't provide an SMTP server, but you can validate your domain and send emails using it.
To use an email address with a custom domain that you own, you will need to validate that domain within SendFox.
Generally, the steps for validating a domain in SendFox are here: https://sendfox.helpscoutdocs.com/article/127-how-do-I-validate-my-domain.
If you are using Dreamhost, Google, GoDaddy, or NameCheap as your domain hosting service, you will want to follow these steps below instead:
https://sendfox.helpscoutdocs.com/article/139-validate-domain-namecheap-godaddy.
Additionally, if you’re on Cloudflare, you will want to edit the Proxy Status of each of the CNAME records and set them to "DNS Only" instead of "Proxied".
When this is done, you can now change the From Email field in your Email Editor and replace it with an email address with the validated domain name:
- when you create a brand new email campaign.
- in all of your sequence emails inside your Automation series.
In the Double-Opt-In email, you can customize this by editing the email campaign called "Please Confirm Your Subscription" which you can find in your Emails Dashboard.
Once you have successfully sent a newsletter with the validated email address, SendFox will remember that email address, and you will no longer need to change the From Email again.
Kind regards from the Originals Team!
