Can your success wait for industry standard functioning features?

I've been in SEO since 2010 and have invested in various tools and services over time. When it comes to LTDs, I invest a lot and often when I see the potential for saving time, money, or improving the experience of my clients.

Here's the issue- as an agency owner- my livelihood depends on gathering accurate beneficial data, interpreting that data and taking action promptly.

I've been unable to add projects that have a competitor AND local search added during setup as doing so consistently delivers a variation on a 500 error. No matter, I added the project and will add competitors at a later time.

After creating a project, I was able to MANUALLY check the rankings of this AND another project via Google prior to any rankings being shown/updated. I added the project about 2 hours ago, and it is STILL updating. How many keywords is it checking for this tiny local seo project you might ask? 26...well actually 13, because it takes into account the difference between desktop and mobile rankings, so it multiplies the keyword count by two on the dashboard (and shows each keyword twice by default in the ranking dashboard).

I thought the keyword research add-on might have some merit in assisting me with decreasing my monthly overhead further. Sadly, the keyword research tool provides only the most basic information and I can receive better, more useful information from content writing LTDs at this point. In my opinion, 24/month for very basic surface level keyword research (like difficulty and Search Volume) in its current form is not very conducive to true actionable and beneficial information.

I cancelled the add-on within an hour of getting it as, in my opinion, it is not ready to be sold to those in the industry for more than $5/month. The issue is, this deal is only for a limited time, so the FOMO pressure is on while trying to gain the monetary resources to make the tool worth it. I understand the need for capital for growth AND the need to balance that with what the keyword research might cost the company in resources once it is further developed, but as of now, offering this add-on so obviously early in its development WHILE limiting the add-on's availability at that price, in my opinion, will leave people feeling swindled for needing to paying monthly in advance of the feature being beneficial with the promise that they might arrive.

If I'm needing to pay 1/3 of the cost of a prominent SEO tool that does keyword research to a greater, and more actionable, extent IN ADDITION to Competitor research, dashboards, and more, what incentive is there for SerpWatch's ideal clientele to buy the add-on now?

(NOTE: Since adding the project at least 1.5 hours ago AND typing up this review, I'm still waiting on the rankings of 13/26 keywords to update)

There is A LOT OF POTENTIAL HERE due to the open-mindedness of the team and support, so I'll check back for new features with this LTD in the future.. but my clients' success isn't going to wait...
