I purchased it set it up two days ago. Despite adding my keywords and waiting for data to populate, it still shows no rankings at all.

I initially assumed it might need some time to gather results, but after 48 hours there is still no tracking or ranking data. This is quite disappointing, especially since I’ve had similar experiences with other tools purchased through AppSumo.

While the tool is still young and warrants attention, its interface could be polished as it's not particularly intuitive. Adjustments will definitely be necessary. It's functional at the very least, so I recommend it.

In my current case, I have a limit of 150 keywords, which I find very low. I recommend the company revisits the number of keywords tracked for all users who have purchased this product.

The support does exist, even if it lacks responsiveness; they were able to solve a problem.

My experience with SheerSEO has been underwhelming. Here’s why:

No JavaScript Support on Basic Plan

If your site relies on JavaScript, the basic tier won’t work—you’ll need to upgrade to Pro. My developer confirmed this right away.

Rigid Domain Policy

One of the biggest letdowns: you can’t change your registered domain unless you upgrade. I no longer use my original domain due to a shift in business strategy, yet SheerSEO refuses any flexibility. I never requested a price adjustment or refund. I only asked to change the domain associated with my account, as I no longer use the old one. It’s unreasonable to deny such a simple request—especially when I’ve already paid for the product. If they refuse to allow a domain change, it’s the customer who loses their investment. Unfortunately, they seem indifferent to that.

Poor Support & Price Discrepancy

I paid $75 for the lifetime deal, only to see it later at $49. No price match, no help. Support has been slow and unhelpful throughout.

Weak Documentation & Onboarding

There’s no real tutorial. You’re sent to a vague blog with videos that don’t explain much. First-time users will struggle.

Buggy Interface & Feature Gating

There are minor UI glitches, and many features are locked unless you pay more—even under a “lifetime” plan.

Inconsistent Support

Some users get replies; others (like me) are left hanging.

⚠️ Summary: Not for Everyone

If you need JS crawling, domain flexibility, real support, or proper onboarding—SheerSEO likely isn’t the right choice. Better SEO tools are available. I believe many of the positive reviews may be paid, sponsored, or not entirely genuine.

I'm just posting this review to let people know that you need to subscribe to their pro plan if your site is js based. The product itself seemed all good, it was just limited for my case and as this wasn't mentioned in the body of the offering I wanted to ensure potential future purchasers know. If your site isn't javascript based, then I'm sure this tool will be a good addition to your library.

4.5 Tacos, but I'll round up to 5 given the very quick support.

The cons? A few buggy interface bits here and here, but the pros include really easy to use keyword research and tracking, good tracking over time, backlinks inspection, great ability to dive into competitors, and some useful tools for on page SEO.

Plus when I found a bug or two, a developer got back to me quickly to acknowledge, and then again once fixed.
