Q: BYOK and Licenses?

Would you mind explaining what I need to know about BYOK and SheetXAi?

I already have ChatGPT pro...does that factor in with the SheetXAi credit usage?

What is the purpose of multiple licenses?

Can I have unlimited Google Sheets with one SheetXAi license?

A: Hey ac16dd353dd8481e8c0dd2b853527830 👋!

Let me break down BYOK and licenses for you:

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key):
BYOK means you use your own API keys from providers like OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Straico, OpenRouter, etc. instead of using our AI credits. With BYOK, you get unlimited operations (only limited by your API provider's rate limits and Google's 20k operations per day limit).

ChatGPT Pro and SheetXAI:
Your ChatGPT Pro subscription doesn't factor into SheetXAI credit usage because they're different things. ChatGPT Pro is a subscription service, while BYOK requires an OpenAI API key (which you get from the OpenAI API platform, not from ChatGPT Plus/Pro). You'd need to set up an OpenAI API account separately and add that API key to SheetXAI. If you haven't yet, i would even recommend that you do

Multiple Licenses:
Multiple licenses are for multiple people/team members. 1 license = 1 email address. If you have 3 team members who each need access to SheetXAI, you'd need 3 licenses. Each person uses their own email to access SheetXAI in their Google Sheets or Excel.

Unlimited Google Sheets with one license:
Yes! One SheetXAI license lets you use it across unlimited Google Sheets. The license is tied to your email address, not to individual spreadsheets. So you can work in as many different sheets as you want with your one license.

Does that clear things up?

Let me know if you have other questions! 🙂

You're welcome, my second comment got cut, but I was saying that if you dont have an openai key yet, i recommend you do openrouter instead (or straico if you have the LTD), that way you have access to all ai models.
