Q: Hi, if I give the app instructions on creating a bar chart or line graph or any other visualisation, can it do this
I also want to ask about data protection/GDPR rules: do you store or process the information contained in the uploaded spreadsheets? Does Chat GPT store/use any of the information contained in the spreadsheets? Thanks

Feb 24, 2026A: Hey Ayesha,
SheetXAI is actually extremely good at visualisations — bar charts, line graphs, you name it. If it doesn't do it perfectly for you, please reach out directly because that would be unusual and I'd want to fix it.
As for data protection and GDPR — we do not store your spreadsheet data beyond the active session. Here's how it actually works:
When you're having a conversation with the AI, we have to keep that conversation in memory during the session — otherwise the AI would have no idea what's been said or what's in your spreadsheet. Think of it like a short-term working memory. The moment the session ends or you clear the conversation, it's gone.
In terms of what actually gets sent to the AI — it's typically only a few rows from your spreadsheet, not the whole thing. The AI works with what it needs to answer your question. If it needs to look at a different part of the sheet it can, but we're not sending your entire spreadsheet by default.
On the ChatGPT/OpenAI side — OpenAI's API (which is what powers the AI processing here, separate from the free ChatGPT product) does not store or use your data for training. That's confirmed in their own privacy policy.
So to summarise: temporary during your session, a few rows at a time, nothing stored after.
Hope that helps — let me know if you have any other questions!

Yes, I'd like to know this as well. Can it interpret the data and create graphs, etc..?

Hey, yes absolutely — SheetXAI can interpret your data and create graphs, charts, and other visualisations. Bar charts, line graphs, pie charts, you name it. Just tell it what you want and it'll handle it. If anything doesn't look right, reach out and I'll get it sorted!
That's great, thanks for your quick reply!
