Hello, I run a website with Elementor PRO and i'm having trouble with pop-ups. Since I started using SS everything has been great, but as soon as I started trying to generate static of pages that have pop ups on it, it started to bug.
To be simple: When i click on a button, instead of the pop up showing over everything (like a pop up need to be) it shows in the end of the page, below everything. Before generating the static, everything was fine.
Is there anything I can do or anything I should do to fix it?
A: Thank you for your question. Simply Static creates a standalone version of your website that is decoupled from WordPress. Unfortunately, since WooCommerce requires continuous access to the database and WordPress functions it is not compatible.
Actually, you CAN use this in conjunction with woocommerce. For example, if you create a duplicate of a product order page with order buttons, those buttons can be linked to your woocomm store via "add to cart" links. Now you have a fast product page
Q: Can I integrate the part of my site that is exclusive for Patreon supporters and the verification that they have an active user account?
A: Thank you for the question. Simply Static creates a standalone version of your website that is decoupled from WordPress. Unfortunately, since membership sites typically require continuous access to the database and WordPress functions it may not be the best fit.
A: Thank you for the question. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Lasso but if the plugin needs continuous access to WordPress it is likely not a good fit for the decouple static copy of your site Simply Static produces. I would recommend trying Lasso in the demo version of Simply Static available on our website, simplystatic.com, to test compatibility.
The overhaul of the forms integration is coming next.
Some of these plugins are not prepared to be integrated (like FluentForm), so they will take significantly longer than the Native Bricks Builder Form, for example.
Q: Facets are a critical feature that I need to build client sites.
Since WP Grid Builder doesn't work on static websites (because it requires AJAX to handle facetted searches like you wrote on your website), would the plugin "WP Search with Algolia" work for implementing Algolia facets & search on the exported static website? Thanks.
Actually, you would not need the WP Search with Algolia plugin because we have Algolia integrated directly!
We already have a ready-to-use search box powered by Algolia (similar to the WP search plugin). If you have some technical (read coding) knowledge, you can also use the facets integration from Algolia.
Q: Is this compatible & useful when using Divi or Elementor?
Also, does it covert those forms or just the ones mentioned (contact form 7 and a couple others)? What about other plugins like js-popups, chat widgets etc, do these still work with the plugins configurations when it is turned into a static site? Thanks for the urgent reply!
You might want to check our FAQ sections, as it contains ALL of the answers you are looking for: https://simplystatic.com/frequently-asked-questions/
Quick version:
Elementor: This is directly integrated and probably the most extensive integration we have right now (including forms, Elementor Pro, and several add-ons).
Divi: Works, but needs some configuration (basically disabling their performance settings)
JS-Popups: That really depends on the popup tool being used. Most rely heavily on Ajax and won't work, external ones work just fine (think of Mailchimp, ConvertKit and so on)
Thanks for your answers and the helpful link! Similar to disabling Divi performance settings, what about like EWWW Image Optimizer and other plugins which affect how wordpress works like HideMyWP/security plugins, must everything be disabled first?
Thanks Scott! Last question, is this editable once it is converted to static? Like if we want to add something from DivMagic not from wordpress, can we easily edit the site?
Q: As the static site is disconnected from the WP site I assume that users will not be able to comment on posts.
A: Thank you for the question. Users will not be able to create posts from the static copy of your site but they can comment using the comment integration available in Simply Static. Here is a link to more information on this feature: https://docs.simplystatic.com/article/15-set-up-comments
Q: Hi, could you consider migrating to another license management tool instead of Freemius?
I bought many plugins selling via Freemius but no more since a very long time ago. I don't want to discredit Freemius, but it is in fact a disaster in privacy/security/user experience and has somewhat political risk because of the company location nowadays.
A: Convertbox -> Yes, because these are managed externally. Omincron Chatbot -> Yes, same as Convertbox. Squirlly SEO - Partly, it works, but we haven't integrated with them directly (compared to Yoast, RankMath, SEOPress..) EWWW - No, but we ship with our own image optimization powered by ShortPixel
A: Thank you for your question. If your website requires continuous access to WordPress dynamic data on the frontend it may not be the best fit for the static site generated by Simply Static. I would recommend testing the items you need through the online demo available on our website: https://simplystatic.com/
A: Simply Static creates a copy of your website that is decoupled from the WordPress environment. This copy consists of only HTML, CSS, and JS files that can be hosted separately from WordPress. Simply Static does create a headless version of your site in so much as the frontend is separated from the backend.
Q: Comeback
Is there any plan to comeback to Appsumo again?

Q: Will Simply Static work with an affiliate plugin called Lasso if I leave the WP instance of the website up and running?
If it will work presumably the static site sends the data from clicks on CTAs back to the WP version?
Thank you

Q: Hello, I hope I can purchase License Tier 3, but I currently can't.
So I have question:
About staging URL, If it possible to install several site:
client1.dev
client2.dev
client3.dev
using the same license key?
Or the same license key only work with these pattern:
client1.com
client1.dev
client1.example.
Thanks.
Patrick_SimplyStatic
Jun 12, 2024A: The latter.
The test/staging domains need to contain the same name following a prefix/suffix:
- client1.com
- client1.staging.dev
- staging.client1.com

awesome, thanks!
Q: There have been many requests for integration with the native Bricks Builder form, Fluent Forms, and Bricks Forge.
Have any of these been integrated since you last came to AppSumo?
Patrick_SimplyStatic
Jun 12, 2024A: We're working on it, but we prioritize, based on the demand of existing customers, what to work on next.
We just released the new major release last week, including:
- Incremental Exports (easier updates)
- ShortPixel Integration (image optimization)
The overhaul of the forms integration is coming next.
Some of these plugins are not prepared to be integrated (like FluentForm), so they will take significantly longer than the Native Bricks Builder Form, for example.

Q: you said We will work on supporting at least some of the most popular popup builder tools with Simply Static ...
in the future (Popup Builder and Elementor Popups).
does that mean that the bricks builder popups work flawlessly?
Does this work with swiss performance or any other kind of plugins?
Patrick_SimplyStatic
Jun 12, 2024A: We will include popups tools shipping with the most popular page builders out there, but this is still a work in progress.
If Bricks doesn't need Ajax to dismiss the popup - it will work, if not, it needs to be integrated by us to handle it.
