The software is very good… as long as it works.

Unfortunately, since Friday the tool has been experiencing errors — it does not generate images, even though we are using it exactly the same way as before.

The only way to contact support is through an automated chatbot. And here comes the biggest issue: the bot claims that credits are charged for the attempt to generate content, not for the successfully generated result.

In practice this means:

about 200 credits wasted,

many hours of employee time spent trying to fix the issue,

no real technical support,

and a chatbot that basically communicates the equivalent of a Polish saying:
“We don't have your coat, and what are you going to do about it?” (a phrase used when someone ignores responsibility).

It's a pity, because when the software works, it is actually very good. Unfortunately, in the current situation using it feels unreliable.

From past few months we were struggling with creative fatigue due to being out of ideas, then comes skaler. We never thought we will be able to spy competitors and get creatives and analysis of how they are doing so quickly. I am glad I decided to buy this tool . Only thing if they can provide is BYOK for some parts of the app to make it easier on the pocket as credits finish faster than normal if we go aggresive in creating creatives for clients.

I think I've lost count of the tools I've tested for generating ads through analysis and/or cloning competitor ads. They all promise a lot and disappoint even more. And Skaler, for now, isn't much different. It promises a lot, promises to make ad creation easier, but delivers little, TBH.

Flaws:
– Similar brands and Top picks show ads that don't match the brand.
– Spied brands works, as long as you don't clone ads.
– The image ad cloning mechanism is ridiculous: it has difficulty identifying the text in the original ad, it doesn't use brand assets. It's completely useless. I'm even afraid to test it with video. So far, I've only wasted credits and time.

I was careful to ask before investing in Skaler if being in a niche area and in a small country could influence the results. For now, the generative part is very weak. The analysis section is interesting and somewhat useful, perhaps an overrated dashboard, but it addresses some of the shortcomings of working with Meta and its awful software ecosystem.

It's not enough for the expectation created and for what I need it to do. I hope to return to this review and improve it, because for now it's just disappointing.

I full-stacked AdNova previously, and I full-stacked Skaler. The difference with Skaler is that it's definitely built to PRODUCE ads, not just spy on competitors. Anyone who's spent a lot of time manually building ads in the past know's how boring and time-consuming it is.
Skaler does an admirable job of producing ads, whether you want to clone an ad OR build your own from scratch.
The adspy part of it is not quite there yet, which is understandable since it's a new app. Give it time and I'm assuming it will fill out with a lot more ads. In the meantime you can ad brands you're interested in from the Facebook ads library. You don't even need to do it manually, you can search for the brand and add it directly within the Skaler app.
It would be nice if all the ads Facebook has from a brand were imported, not just the ones currently running.
There's a few issues with missing data (eg. reach in some cases) that I assume will get fixed with time.
And for people wondering about spend, it only applies to ads that are running in the EU (because they're the only ones who force Facebook to provide that information). It can seem confusing if you don't know that, and also if you're looking at the global view of ad spend for a brand the $ figure would only be for the EU portion of ads if they also run ads elsewhere (which could be confusing if you don't know).
I used another ad spy tool in the past that used (apparently) some fancy algorithm for estimating ad spend for non-EU advertisers. Not exactly sure how accurate the numbers were, but would be an cool feature to add to Skaler if it could be done.
Anyway, if you're a serious advertiser this deal should be an easy buy.

Now, for the first time, I actually have an app that seems to understand what I want.
While there are some bugs, but I think every aspect of this app is already worth 10x the money.
I started with the $179 and upgraded to the highest tier the second day

- The facebook analysis works great - 8/10
- Video generation - 8/10 (would love longer video, but I guess the length is limited by veo 3. Also, I don't see a difference between the standard and pro. Standard was great and intuitive enough)
- Image generation - 8/10
- Add editor - 8/10
- Ad clone - 7.7/10
- Turn Static into Video - 8/10 (veo) 5/10 (kling)
- Hook generation - 8/10 (need to somehow allow us to use it elsewhere in the app)
- The brand match needs a lot of work - 2/10 (Need more filters, it needs more work, perhaps more questions from user, or at least do a better job at analyzing website so it can match brand properly)

Final verdict: it's worth it!!!
