Can you give us a realistic answer if you will implement DRM protections to protect our online videos from being stolen if we use your platform? Is this something you plan on implementing within a year or is this not at all something you will do?
With how easy it is now to steal video content, it's impractical for us to invest in a platform that cannot provide DRM protections. There's even downloading software available here on Appsumo for $19 that will let people steal our content without DRM protection.
I emphasize the importance of this to you because if you truly want to stand out from the crowd of many competitors, offering protection is going to push you to the front.

Oct 21, 2025A: OK especially for you I have gone in and investigated the issue.
You are right. Nobody offers it, not Kajabi, nor any of the biggest platforms. So it will give us an edge if we offer it.
The reason why nobody offers it is that you need to pay for it on top of hosting so you cannot offer it by default as it would needlessly increase the cost of all content you host and make the entire platform more expensive.
What can be done is it can be offered as an option and whoever needs it can enable it and pay for it per usage. Like adding your apikey to use openai.
It is actually pretty cheap. And free options are not available at all anywhere in the world.
The cost to my knowledge at the moment of writing this answer is around $6 for 1000 Full HD DRM protected video plays no matter how long they are.
That might not seem like a lot in terms of YouTube views but for paid content 1000 views is a lot really. (That would mean hundreds of customers usually).
I calculated an example case for my own masters academy.
I have 56000 students, 250 hours of content, and around 4500 views / month. That would mean that my entire content would be DRM protected for just $27. This is actually a pretty good deal for any functioning business with a revenue over 2-3k /month.

I do appreciate that you took my question seriously. And you're so right, even if you charged a slightly higher flat rate for DRM protection monthly, it's worth keeping our content safe. Not to give away your future customers to other competition, but U-Screen is a service that offers DRM, & that's why it probably attracts the higher end creators with their content.
