info5676wQ: Are you planning to make BYO AI API key available in lower tiers?
I saw a demo and the product looks really interesting - especially if you’re planning a mobile app.
What bothers me a bit is that using your own AI API key is locked behind the $199 tier. As an individual user, I don’t expect to even use 200 credits per month, but I’d still prefer the flexibility of using my own API key.
Right now it feels like individuals are somewhat disadvantaged, while for teams or agencies the pricing is extremely favorable - almost negligible compared to the value.
Are you considering changing this or introducing a more flexible option for solo users?

However, we do not plan to implement BYOK in tier 1.

I had this kind of question before because I am also a solo user. At least in tier 2, I think, bring your own key should be allowed. At the very least T2.
We got your concern, as a solo user you can use Slashit App AI. You don't need to invest more for AI.

It doesn't make sense that you won't allow users to byok in tier 2 at least. If nothing else, when we bring our own key - you no longer have to pay for the AI costs which I'd think would help your sustainability.
That's a fair point and we hear you.
BYOK is something we've thought about. But for now, we're keeping it off the table for Tier 2. And yes, the AI costs are real. But we'd rather absorb them and keep the experience simple and reliable for everyone.

Math says 200$ for 50 users is 4$ per user, but you want 10x more from one user: 40$. 😃 Maybe you should make the plan for more users more expensive. As a single user, I feel it's not fair, so I thought everyone should have the same option. Maybe you can buy more credits - I didn't check that yet. I just think it is better to let everyone choose what they want.

It's important that you also consider single users, since many of us are single users. I assume trying to make more money here by pushing "BYOK" on tier 3, but it is not helping single users. Consider T2 for BYOK.

Adding to the chorus... Perhaps you could consider a reasonable BYOK add-on fee for those Tier 1 purchasers who would want that option (I would be one such user).

Come on, man, at least bring the option for BYOK on tier 2, because now, for this thing, I have to upgrade to tier 3, which sounds unreasonable.
