I have bought lifetime versions of Typeit4me, Typinator and other text typing applications) that release a new version when, say, Tahoe on the Mac goes obsolete. Most have moved to yearly fees or different versioning. Your program is more expensive than some others in the App Store, but I'm looking for longevity as I like lifetime plans but hate finding out the lifetime does not handle new updates into the future.
Does this Appsumo deal work as long as your business runs for, even if you get bought out by a competitor?

let me clear with you. We started building Slashit App in 2024 and launched on Product Hunt in June 2025. We already have MRR users paying monthly, so we're not relying on AppSumo to keep things running. We launched here for user acquisition, not survival. That's an important difference.
We're a funded company. 10 people working on this full time. We also run a design agency that brings in steady revenue. Slashit App is not a side project.

After the AppSumo deal ends, we're moving to a subscription model. That means there will be a real business behind this for the long run.
The lifetime deal means exactly that. As long as Slashit runs, your deal is valid. No version traps. No forced upgrades.
We're also building the mobile app right now. We're taking feedback from paid users, fixing real issues, and shipping new features. It's coming.
We can't predict the future, but we can tell you where we stand. We're here for the long haul.
