Our first version of SlideFill is replacing placeholders with text-based input. You can use your own presentation template (e.g. a Google Slides Deck) on which you add placeholders that will populate based upon your Google Sheet / CRMs data.
The other content on the slides (vectors, graphics, etc) or non-placeholder text will not be replaced.
We're currently working on the next generation of SlideFill which we will publish in June which will allow users to create graphics and visualizations directly from their data.

So I have a Google Slide with data coming from outside, i.e. from a Google Sheet?
That's exactly what the solution does. It allows you to connect outside sources (Sheets, CRM etc.) to create documents or marketing collateral at scale.
You simple select your external source, map your fields with placeholders in the template you have and generate personalized content.

As mentioned above, we currently only allow all forms of text-based input (including URLs). We do not yet directly replace imagery, but we are finalizing that option as we speak (allowing to replace visuals using a source URL).
There is additional complexity with imagery given it requires more user education as not everyone knows the right url that directly links to an image. We're building SlideFill to be intuitive and reduce any onboarding timelines.

Yes! That's what we are working on. It's not too difficult to implement this, it's more the complexity on the file type / input side to ensure users provide the right extension or urls.
