Q: How do I get a DPA (in German AVV / ADV) forSmartClerk - and where are your servers located - Data concerns
I thought as an European company there is a button to get the DPA (in German AVV / ADV) forSmartClerk, but I wasn't able to find it. How do I get it? Without it I mustn't use SmartClerk at all and would have to get a refund. When I upload my Bank statements there is my clients data on it. Therefore it is more than crucial for me to know.
The reason I bought SmartClerk was actually that you are located in the Netherlands - and I assumed that your servers are in the Netherlands as well. And that you have to fulfil European right regarding GDPR / DSGVO. Could you please confirm and tell, where I get the DPA (AVV / ADV)?
I guess this will be of interest for every customer in Europe. Thank you!
A: Thank you for your message and for sharing your concerns regarding data processing and privacy. We appreciate your diligence, and we’re happy to clarify how Smart Clerk handles these important matters.
Data Processing Agreement (DPA / AVV / ADV)
A DPA (AVV/ADV) is a legal agreement typically set up between data controllers and data processors, for example, between Smart Clerk and our infrastructure providers or other subprocessors. For end users and customers, all necessary information about our data handling practices, your rights under GDPR, and the scope of our data processing is described in detail in our Privacy Policy. This document is specifically designed to ensure transparency and compliance with European and international data protection laws. It is available to all our users.
If you represent an organization that needs to enter into a DPA with us due to your own obligations as a data controller, please let us know, and we will review your request accordingly.
Server Locations & Data Transfers
SmartClerk stores and processes data on secure servers located both within the European Union and in the United States. Any data transfers outside the EU are conducted in accordance with GDPR requirements, and we have appropriate safeguards in place, including standard contractual clauses, to ensure data protection standards are met wherever your data is processed.
Your Privacy and GDPR Compliance
We are fully committed to GDPR/DSGVO compliance, regardless of where our infrastructure is located. Our team follows strict policies to protect your data and your clients’ data, and we are happy to answer any specific questions you might have about our privacy practices.
Hello. When will it be possible to further breakdown income received and not have it all listed in one income category? For example, say there is an income on May 1st of $500. I would like to break that income down into: $350 for services and $150 for merchandise sales.
The same would go for expenses, such as assigning different categories for each item purchased on a single receipt.
Is there a time frame for when a solution for this will be implemented? It’s very much needed.
Q: roadmap
Can you share a link of your roadmap? I search in your website but couldn't find it

Q: Bulk receipts?
Can I scan a lot of receipts in to 1 PDF file and it extract information from individual receipts? Or do they need to be done 1 at a time?
Can those receipts be attached to and reconciled against bank statements?
