What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
I’ve spent over a decade working in tech and startups, and like most founders, I’ve had my share of both wins and failures. Early on, I launched a few side projects that never gained traction — which taught me a lot about the importance of solving real problems.
One success that shaped me was leading product at a fast-growing SaaS company, where I saw firsthand how much time teams were losing responding to customer emails. That experience sparked the idea for Snoooz.
Snoooz itself has been a journey — from building the first prototype in my apartment to getting our first 600+ paying customers (including from our first AppSumo launch!). The failures along the way — clunky onboarding, missed features, and underestimating support needs — have been just as valuable as the wins, because they pushed us to listen harder and build smarter.
What 3rd party tools is your product critically dependent on?
Firebase & Google Cloud Infrastructure
Where is your customer data stored?
All customer data is securely stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States. We are GDPR, CASA and SOC2 Type 2 certified.
What is your current monthly recurring revenue (MRR)?
We’ve already onboarded 700+ paying customers and are growing quickly. While our current MRR is still in the early stages, the strong adoption and positive feedback from users reinforce our confidence in Snoooz’s long-term growth. We are also backed by the DMZ incubator in Toronto and have received over $35K in government grant funding, further validating our potential.
How many customers do you have today?
We currently have over 700+ paying customers, ranging from solopreneurs to small businesses and agencies.
What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
The idea for Snoooz came from my own frustration with email overload. As a founder juggling multiple roles, I was spending hours managing my inbox instead of focusing on growth.
I built Snoooz to solve that problem for myself, and quickly realized it could help thousands of other busy professionals reclaim their time, too.
What problem is your product solving and how?
Snoooz solves the problem of email overload by automatically drafting, sending, and managing replies.
Unlike basic autoresponders, Snoooz is context-aware: it tailors replies to the sender, sentiment, language, and situation. It can carry on conversations, handle follow-ups, integrate with CRMs and calendars, and even train itself from your website or helpdesk.
What sets Snoooz apart is how human-like, customizable, and business-ready it is compared to generic email assistants.
What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
A mix of feedback and growth. We want to onboard 1,000+ new customers, gather actionable insights to improve Snoooz, and build strong word-of-mouth momentum.
What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?
Customers: We’ll actively support, onboard, and engage with them to ensure success.
Cash: Will be reinvested into product development, integrations, and scaling support.
Learnings: We’ll refine Snoooz’s roadmap and double down on features SMBs and mid-market teams need most.
Any details to clarify about the deal?
You’ll get lifetime access to Snoooz’s email automation, AI replies, integrations, and future improvements, according to the Tier you purchase.
Snoooz supports users worldwide. The only requirement is that your email provider supports Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP/SMTP.
Anything else you'd like to add?
We’re genuinely excited to be back on AppSumo. The first campaign shaped Snoooz in ways we couldn’t have done alone, and we’re ready to make this relaunch even bigger. Your feedback and support mean everything — let’s make email less painful, together.
