I just bought 1 code because that seems the most logical one.
In fact, I could have had 10 codes or more. But the math here is very unreasonable.
If there is a number, this should be folded for each stacked code.
Even higher quantities should have extra advantages.
Here is the opposite situation.

For 1 code, there are 50 Exports
For 10 codes, there are 100 Exports
It was 10 Exports for 1 code, adding 10 for each stacked code was even more logical.

Strangely enough, URL numbers are also much less than the smallest plan.

I have been using the tool for 1 week.
The user interface looks old fashioned, it needs to be improved.
I had some problems while using it but I think it can be corrected because it is under development.
When you leave the page and come back again, the credits are spent without you noticing because of auto refresh.
The lack of a boolean search is the biggest shortcoming. A boolean search can be written for each alert, but you can only use 1 word.
It would be nice if there was an API in this deal, but it does.

A useful tool for those who will use it as a result.
I think it will be in a much better place in 1 year at the latest.

Of all the AppSumo deals I've purchased, this is the only one I rely on every day. Other deals have been great too but SocialAnimal is critical to my success. For example, I get to see content that has the potential to go viral and decide if I should write something about it too. It also allows me to be up-to-date with what's going on with my competitors by seeing what they're writing about and the industry as a whole by tracking keywords.

If I would have played with the free demo thoroughly, I wouldn't have bought this. I primarily was planning on using this for setting up alerts related to 10 different niches, but I can only do a few because of how narrow the search function works.

The keyword search only brings you content with exact match content... and not only that, but only exact match IN THE TITLE.

As a for instance... if you wanted to keep track of popular content related to Star Trek, you'd have to use up several of your alerts, because just having 'Star Trek' as one of your alerts wouldn't give you content if the headline merely mentions Picard, Discovery, Below Decks, Section 31 show or the just-announced 'Strange New Worlds' show with Pike, Spock and Number One.

If they used Boolean search and also searched the body of the content, that would fix this, but no dice.

I'll find a use for it and probably get my money's worth over a few years, but just beware of the limitations.

I rarely buy such kind of software but after trying this one I like its simplicity it simply does its job of showing me suggested articles that I can write.

Very useful product if you want to identify posts and articles you want to share on your social profiles.
I hired someone to whom I was paying a decent chunk of money. But now, I can just let my assistant use this tool to identify good articles for the topics of my FB page and post them.

This is really a great tool. I have been using buzzsumo for a while and really like it but its very expensive. This deal is an amazing find. It doesn't do everything that BuzzSumo does but it does more in some areas and less in others. But its a really nicely polished tool. Great for content research and their roadmap looks like they area adding some very useful features like Question Content Type and Content Idea Generator. The big 2 things that will take this to the top in my opinion are adding YouTube analysis and making a more robust comparison tool like you can do in BuzzSumo. But even so its already a great tool and worth at least grabbing 1 credit for.

You had a similar deal a few years ago, but that company went defunct, unfortunately. I was hoping for an alternative and here it is. It's even better than the previous service was!

Bought at least 1 code for this deal. I'm confident in the company's management team and
believe they'll keep growing the service. 3-6 months of real content research for affiliate
sites and find the best possible strategies to beat competition is worth 5-15x the $69
for one code. If the company grows beyond 12 months and doesn't go under with the
crazy value offered..another amazing one time fee deal.

Get one code if you're into saving tons of time and increasing your chances of getting the best
possible content for your affiliate sites or even if you're an SEO Agency like quite a few of us. The grunt work can be handled by others as well by using the lost password recommended tactic by the sellers
themselves.

Amazing deal, very satisfied with 1 code. May end up buying 2 more.

I bought this deal because it is often compared to Buzz Sumo. That right there is enough to sell you on this. It flows great, and has plenty of features you'd need to sort through content and find what works for your niche...
1 bonus side benefit, and alternative way to use Social Animal is as your own personal news aggregator. You can choose a couple keywords, and it sends you the newest top articles from those keywords in an email. I actually find this a great way to find content to simply read - Not just for competitive research.

I lose 1 taco because I have this feeling that SOMETHING is missing, even though I can't quite put my finger on it...

Social Animal is a seriously great product for starters. besides providing information about top articles you also have the ability to check out the top influencers who have shared similar content in the past.

Meaning you can get in contact with them and ask to have your content shared by them if they like your stuff. Insane for marketing purposes

Yes, I have come across some bugs and yes I approached the situation like I usually would with most other companies where I share the problem and they answer nicely yet nothing gets resolved for weeks.

It's frustrating and time-consuming. Social Animal customer service is where this product really shines. I reported a bug and within 24 hours it was fixed and I was informed about it.
Additionally, I asked if there was a possibility to have a feature included thinking nothing of it and next minute I have a response telling me that they have discussed it with the developers and that my idea is feasible and will get implemented within the week.

Seriously if you have come across better customer service the I would really like to see it. The program is great and getting better every day and the customer support is just like a full-on taco store with all the toppings to make even the fussiest taco eater happy.

I never write reviews, but I was so impressed with the support I just had to.

Definitely get this into your marketing arsenal.

It's easy to use for searching content in Facebook,Twitters, and blogs. The UI is clean, so it won't takes much time to learn to do.

Social Animal is a useful piece of software that allows you to find content ideas, content to share, and provides insights in simply displayed data such as best network to post on, best day to post, ideal title lengths etc. There are lots of ways to cut the data, various filters, and your general areas of working are Articles, Insights, and Influencers which gives you an idea on the workflow.

Most of the data you see is based on engagements, however for some reason when you get to Influencers the ranking is based on either Followers or Tweets - not engagements. Influencers seems to be focused on Twitter mainly which is limiting.

Although influencers are Twitter based, there is a separate Facebook search function which doesn't really fit in anywhere, it sort of sits on its own which isn't ideal having to do your research on the other tabs then look at Facebook separately. It feels like it's been added on without much thought into how to integrate it into the rest of the site.

A major disadvantage is the absence of Instagram which is unusual given it is owned by Facebook and they tend to go hand-in-hand. This is a huge problem when you are looking at influencer research of course, or visual content research. If they added Instagram I would probably have given it 4.5 stars.

Social Animal is not a complete tool yet but has potential. It is a great buy for the price, particularly if you are missing something like this in your arsenal or are paying a lot of money for things like Buzzsumo. This should do most of what Buzzsumo can.

I'm not into the social media management but it helps me a lot to "spy" on companies that I want to know what they doing and get ideas for my own business.
