No Tacos for Anyone but SocialBee
I should've titled this review "No Tacos for Anyone but SocialBee," because I've broken my vow of review silence for them (edit: I couldn't stop myself, old title was "My Favorite Deal by Far" and that's still true).
Now that I've got your attention, let me tell you what's bad about SB (that's right, Publer is breathing down your neck, Ovi!!):
- No location tagging
- No Youtube (and apparently no plans for it). Give me youtube.
But that doesn't outweigh the most well-structured social media tool on Appsumo EVER (you've already heard about these but I list them because they actually work and are helpful and are not just claims by the AS infomercials):
- Categories are so so helpful. It's so good that we even organize stuff in SB that we're going to dump into a tool like Social Horsepower (different use case than SB so we need both) later. Even better if you use them as intended with the scheduler.
- Post Variations: easily the best implementation of this feature out there
- They actually look at the their roadmap, respond, and stick to it (ie. it doesn't turn into a blighted ghost town as soon as the unnamed company is done tricking sumolings into believing that the future is bright--you know who you are, companies X, Y, and Z). It's a year of responsiveness over there.
- A functioning, consistent workaround for the Instagram problems literally every tool on here has
- Generally lovely people. Have used the concierge services and enjoyed my interactions with everyone over there.
- Smooth, stable performance: no (or at least rarely) bugs, no waiting for loads etc.--polished product.
- Hashtag collections are an underutilized feature at my office, but real heavyweights will appreciate their approach
To my knowledge I've purchased or trialed every social media tool on AS. SocialBee is the last one standing.
See you all in 24 months for review #2.

May 9, 2024Haha. Love it, Nate! 💛
We're grateful for you braking your no-review rule for us.
Thanks so much for your kind words and really good overview of some of our capabilities.
And BTW - I'm not saying a strong no to YouTube, I just need to be convinced that enough of our customers will use that so that I can prioritize posting on YouTube over other features :)
We're happy to have you a part of our hive.
Bee safe,
Ovi
