Social Bee is great, except . . .

I think this is my first review after many deals (mostly unused). This is probably a 10 Taco Deal but I had to ding it for the reasons below that either:

a.) Everyone is having and being placated by support
b.) No-one else has gotten far along enough in the setup that they haven’t experienced it
c.) Only I am having and am being placated by support.

PROS – Like many non-agencies here, we struggle to do social media timely, properly and/or at all for our few companies.

Socialbee seems to be a great solution to our content problems. The fact that it integrates with the content from Quuu is what personally sold me on it.

So far, I can see why it is/has been/will be considered great and you should not think twice to get it.

Setup is not too difficult and as I have not really learned some of the other tools, the layout is not bad, their roadmap looks promising and their support is responsive.

Upgrading has become super simple in the app so continually asking for additional codes here is pointless as they do not exist and for obvious reason will not be added.

CONS – Setting up, while easy does not really work. Let me explain.
When trying to connect to your FB pages, it should be as easy as:
1.) Allowing the app to connect to FB
2.) Selecting your pages
3.) Adding those pages to SB as profiles
If it worked like that it would be wonderful! However, it has not been working like that for me.

When attempting to connect multiple pages as mentioned above, after clicking “add” from the list of imported profiles to SocialBee, the rest disappear.

The workaround SEEMED to be, connecting them one at a time as follows:
1.) Clear the SocialBee app from integrations menu in FB
2.) Go back to SocialBee to reconnect one page (one profile)
3.) Repeat steps one and two as needed

This is not the most convenient thing to do but seems like a reasonable workaround.

Their support staff says this is affecting everyone and has to do with api changes. Again, I agree this is likely but have seen nothing about that here.

However, after a day or two I started getting emails from SB saying:
"[Action Needed] Re-connect your Facebook account. It looks like you no longer have permission to post to “Facebook Page”. Please talk to the administrator of “Facebook Page and follow the steps below: "

As this is the second time this has happened I only just now opened a ticket about this new situation (I ignored the first one thinking I did something to cause a reset to be necessary) but am afraid it’s going to be blamed on the evil ol’ api.

Having said that, let’s hope they get this sorted because this is a no-brainer. Buy it and see if you can get it setup before the refund date. If fix this, I'll change my Tacos.

Again, their support is responsive and they seem eager and genuine. Just look at how active Ovi is here – that says a lot.

PS - If anyone else is having any of these issues, please comment and let me know your thoughts/solutions or replies from support.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments, @Big_Daddy.

Unfortunately, the issue you experienced is due to a Facebook bug which is still open.
See it here: https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/2326955050910974/

We hope that the issue will get resolved ASAP, as connecting Facebook pages is normally working quite nicely, and it's easy to set up...

We have thousands of users who set up and manage their Fb Groups and Profiles regularly.

Also, it does not happen to everybody, so I'm sorry that it happened to you.

We hope to have you a part of our hive for a long time to come!

All the best,
Ovi
