Q: Can You Bulk Import Pins?

There are 5 variables when creating a pin. Can your bulk importer handle them all?
1) Pin Title
2) Pin Description
3) Image
4) Image Alt
5) Board & Sub Board

I'd like to know if you can handle this?

A: Hi Alex!

You can bulk upload Pins using a CSV. Here are specific answers about that:

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Yes
4) No, we just use the Pin Title for this. You can only customize it in our Publisher, so if you want something other than the pin title, you would go to the Queue folder and edit the post, hover over the image and click the 'Alt' button.
5) Yes, but your selection applies to all Pins in the CSV. You can select multiple Boards, but it will space them out a bit so you don't have your account terminated and we don't have our API terminated.

Hi Craig. Thanks for this.
4) Will you allow us to set the alt via bulk upload in the future? Not keen to manually do this.
6) Do you also do Facebook text on background scheduled posts?

We will likely add the ability to customize the alt text in a separate column in the CSV at some point. That makes sense to me, we've just tried to keep it as straightforward and unintimidating as possible. Regarding Facebook text on background posts, Meta doesn't have an API endpoint for that yet. On a future API release they will surely start allowing developers to do that.

Thanks. That would be awesome. I've read more questions and my concern is your limit on queues. I mean if I have 20 pages and I schedule out the months content of 300 posts per page, that's 6000 posts in the schedule. You only allow 1000. So basically I need to bulk upload a new CSV to each profile every 3 days. Which defeats the purpose of the bulk scheduler!

What are the schedule/queue limits?

Hey Alex,

Fortunately, it doesn't work like that. If you select all 20 of your social profiles per post, it would still allow 1,500 posts (we increased it to 1,500 recently). So you don't have to calculate it one per social profile, it is one post regardless of how many social profiles the post goes out to.

Thanks. Can you clarify if I have 50 pages, can I schedule 1500 posts per page?

Or is it 1500 posts in total , so if I had 50 pages, it would schedule 3 per page and then everyb3 hours I'd need to do 50 bulk uploads to schedule the next 3 per page?

Each page needs 300 posts per month and I'd like to schedule them all at the start of the month.

First of all, we allow 1,500, not 1,000. Secondly, if you post 1,500 to all 50 of your Pages you'll be fine. it doesn't matter how many pages are included in your posts. That's not a part of the '1,500 in the Queue at one time' limitation. I'm not going to lie, that is a ton of posts and Facebook might flag your pages as spam if you aren't keeping your content unique. That part isn't up to us.

Let me try ask this like this...

If you have 10 profiles in the account how many posts can be in the queue for each profile?

If you stack up and have 200 profiles on the account for multiple clients etc, how many posts per profile can you then queue per profile?

Basically, it seems the schedule limit applies account wide and punishes stacked accounts.

The software is designed to have posts go to multiple social profiles. It sounds like you plan to send content to one social profile per post. Like writing a post and selecting Page 1. Then writing another post and selecting Page 2. If that's the case, you will run into the 1,500 post limit sooner than someone who writes a post and selects Pages 1 and 2 for it go out to. That only counts as 1 post
