subscriberQ: Facebook doesn't like outbound links in posts.
So … is there a way to schedule a post to a specific date, and at the same time post (say) outbound links as the first comment?

Yes. You can schedule a First Comment along with your post. It's part of the Publishing screen, so you can add it at the same time you schedule your post. We even have a Call-To-Action Groups feature that allows you to load up a bunch of different ways to present your link for each network and we'll add it to the end of the Message for all networks. For Facebook and Instagram, you're able to have the CTA added to the First Comment instead of the end of the message. We're planning to add this for LinkedIn too, but for now it's just Facebook and Insta.

Hi Marty! This is definitely in the roadmap. All resources are on the new drag-and-drop campaign builder and new campaign frontend UX right now, but we're entering beta on that this coming week for a select group of clients. This will free up dev resources tremendously so we can work on tasks like the one you've pointed out.
