Save your money folks...
I've bought a lot of deals over the years - This is my first negative review ever.
I *really* wanted this to be as good as it seems.
In essence - If you use SocialMonial your posts will look like crap if you make it easier for your customers to be SOCIAL. (Screenshot link below)
If you are buying on SOCIAL functionality - then don't touch this.
If the product was called Email-ListBuilder, then yes - it may be great.
I'm not debating the merits of having a big email list..
But we all know the big push in social is because of engagement.
And .. this product is billed as Social - right?
Soooo...if you are trying to keep things SOCIAL and give a coupon for a deal- then taking people out of Facebook to sign up to a list so they can check their email so they can click on the link so they can then apply the coupon code... sigh.
And I hear some of you that have purchased saying "But you can just tick the box that says Button Only, with no email".
- Yes, you can!
Hurrah!
**BUT**..(Uh-Oh).... if you take that option, you lose the ability to edit what the post says as it goes out, or the image it shares.
How bad can it be? You ask...
I can hear SocialMonials saying "Hold My Beer..."

Yes, this is what you will spend Ad Dollars pushing out when you tick the box that is for NO email - Button Only.
I was impressed at one of the webinar replays promoting how wonderfully EASY it is to customize the message going out to each platform!!
... Sadly, this is NOT SO if you choose to keep engagement easy for your potential followers!
If it's SOCIAL, shouldn't it be easy to run a campaign in FB, and just Pixel the people that engage so I can retarget them?
A coupon that clicks to reveal is going to get a lot more engagement than taking someone out of their social environment to go to email...
You will see some of the other reviews say "as I worked my way through the platform" ... That's because it's not intuitive.
The platform locked up repeatedly as I was trying to create a campaign.
(Yes, I logged out, in, cleaned cookies, etc)
Just trying to pick a campaign to run...It wouldn't let me click to see what the campaign looked like without asking for an email address.
So - what the heck! - I put in an email address.. It says "not the right one".
C'Mon man!
How am I supposed to set up a campaign if I can't even see what it's going to look like?
The Thank You Page (The thing that gives them the coupon code they handed over their details for) - disappeared from my dashboard multiple times.
The automatic email to the customer wasn't sent.
Did I check with support ?
I did.
After about 3 hours. (*Not in constant contact - there would be times where my reply went unanswered for long durations.) the official answer?
I need to change CSS!! (I'm using Chrome)
I barely know what CSS is, but I do know that I shouldn't need to touch anything complex to send a Facebook post!

May 9, 2024Hey Sumoling,
We are sorry you had a negative experience and we have heard your feedback. Our goal isn't to make Sociamonials 'really good', we will always be developing like rabbits to make it 'super awesome'.
Regarding the way Facebook share looks in the news feed, there is a way to make these look better that we've built into the platform. All apps, not just ours, were slammed by a change Facebook made where you cannot edit the photo or text in a 'Link' type social share. Even Buffer and Hootsuite won't work if you try to share a different image or link description for a 'Link' type share. There is a way to improve how this looks using our platform: When you see an image you don't like pulled into the preview, click the 'Attach image' switch over the preview. This allows you to upload any image you wish and it will give you a nice full-width image in your feed. We automatically move the link to the end of your message for you.
