My first AppSumo purchase for a while and unfortunately an almost instant refund.

I like the idea, a lot. But the execution fails to save enough time to make it worth paying for, for me personally. This is an MVP, and long-term investment at best.

For the social side, the keyword search is too basic, and appears to fail to go any deeper than popular profiles. Pages I know exist with identical keywords used were not found (with or without 'exact match' checked). This suggests it's not live scraping, is based on purchased lists of popular pages, or there is a limitation that is not disclosed. This will potentially be this tools USP, so it HAS to do a better job here.

The scraping is not comprehensive enough. It appears to be a surface scrape, with no inner-workings that recognise when further scraping is required.

Overall this means searches inside the social channels and / or an advanced Google search will likely offer as much or more, with more results and key data. The time saved with SocLeads with the quick searches is lost given the time needing to complete the limited data it finds.

I don't like giving low reviews, due to the immense value that many AppSumo deals offer. But if there is real intent to make this tool something more, they are here too early.

From half a days testing, I can tell you this tool won't survive outside of here as it is. I say that from a lot of experience. It could have real potential if this is just the starting point, with the intent and investment to make it much more. But it needs a lot of work. I could spend an hour telling them what is needed to begin to make this tool competitive outside of here.
