Q: Hi, in your Founder Post, you write: ========== “The following is prohibited with respect to music generated by SOUNDPIECE: ….
- Reselling or distributing music to music streaming platforms such as Spotify, YouTube music channel, Apple Music, SoundCloud... etc.”
==========
But then in some of the answers here you write that the music generated on Soundpiece can be used in YouTube videos for example, as a kind of music track. (As long as no copyright claims are made on the Youtuber’s part).
Could you please clarify?
Thanks!

Yes your understanding is correct. You can use the music generated on soundpiece for example as background music to your YouTube video. What you can’t do is claim copyrights to the generated songs (unless you change the songs or use them as part of a larger original composition) but you are free to use the generated songs for commercial applications without ever having to pay any royalties for using the music.

Thanks for your reply.
I would like to further clarify my question: can the songs generated by Soundpiece be used as music in projects such as YouTube videos which are basically songs and song compilations, as long as no copyrights are claimed?
Thanks

Yes that is correct.
