Okay but misleading
Login /Signup Link:
The link is shared so when you select login/signup, it really takes you to a “signup” page. This gets annoying where you have to then select “Log in” again in a smaller font light colored purple font versus the huge SIGN UP on the same page.
After login:
You are taken to the homepage where once again you see “find out more” and “sign up”. You need to select the “create” link at the top left which is somewhat obscure. Or you can scroll down and select “create”, “inspire” which requires a monthly fee, or “develop” if you want to API access.
Appsumo screenshots:
These don’t match the actual settings you get after signing up. If you want those screenshots you have to subscribe to their monthly service called “Inspire”.
Appsumo deal:
What you actually get are three options: type, style and setting. BPM and length are NOT separate submenus. They offer BPM in an obscure way by allowing you to change it “per song”, but not as an option to filter out. Length is combined as part of “setting” so you can choose calm music or 30+ seconds… but NOT BOTH!
Menus:
- TYPE = 4 options: any, songs, chords, beats
- STYLE = 16 options: any, ambient, bass, brass, cinematic, edm, electronic, futurepop, guitar, lofi, piano, pop, retrowave, rock, strings, synthpop
- SETTING = 9 options: any, calm, energetic, happy, sad, major key, minor key, long (30+ sec), short (1-30 sec)
Overall:
You don’t get what you see in APPSUMO unless you purchase a subscription. The fact that they provide “subscription screenshots” is very misleading in my humble opinion.
The generated music is okay and many of them sound the same (probably because all of the subscription settings are removed in the appsumo deal).
However, if you want to pay $2.50 a month for a subscription on top of the appsumo deal then go for it.
Why 3 tacos?
I bought it because of the settings I saw in the screenshots here in Appsumo, if this was a separate taco it would be 1 taco for misleading.
As for the music, it is still 3 tacos because of the missing settings/options making it much harder to produce better-sounding music. The mere fact that genre, instrument, BPM, and length are all removed makes it very hard to use this app.
Hopefully, one day the screenshots in Appsumo will actually match what customers are buying.

May 9, 2024Hi teamkc, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.
The screenshots shown are for the standard access that AppSumo users get with the lifetime deal apart from one screenshot. That screenshot does mention in its description that it is from the Inspire plugin and in the deal terms it also states that access to the Inspire plugin in an optional add-on.
I am so sorry you feel the description wasn’t as clear as it could be. I hear what you are saying and will speak to the team to see how we can make the description better and even clearer in the overall product page.
