Q: I am very interested in buying the highest tier.
But I have read several Q&A below about licensing rights, but I am still not clear. Here is my case study of how I plan to use the music.....
I want to be able to use the songs
<A> in a YouTube Lof-Fi music channel,
<a1> If I have Tier 2 (and add some unrecognizable synthesized human voice or humming, etc..) it can they Lo-Fi be distributed in that YouTube channel?
<a2> can it just be like 1 sec somewhere in the song (in other words is there a min time requirement for human vocals of some king for Lo-Fi distribution)
<a3> to what extend (or avenues) can I distribute? and where do my rights end with Tier 2?
<a4> I plan on producing a LOT of these on a regular ongoing basis, so if it was like $50 extra to obtain the full rights to a single song....... that could add up to an extra $500+ a month we would have to budget for and factor into our ROI and business model.
<B> I will be using them for background music for another How To focused channel
<C> I want to sale collections of my Lo-Fi songs and videos on our own ecom store and on other platforms like eBay / Amazon / etc... and possible music platforms like Spotify, etc....
So with those case studies above in mind, her are my questions.....If I have level 2
1) What EXACTLY ARE and are NOT my rights of ownership and/or commercial use / distribution / use in various forms of media / selling the songs / etc..?
2) If I don't have full rights on level 2, how much does it cost PER SONG to get full rights?
<> are their separate full rights (and potential extra cost) for the full rights for the song vs stem vs using snippets vs a whole song?
3) Is there a Tier 3 option that gives full rights to all songs?
Sorry, if you have answered these questions, but it is not really clear or spelled out EXACTLY what is given or allowed, what is not, and how much MORE money I would have to budget for per song would it cost to get make up the difference of what the rights given vs having full rights.

May 14, 2024A: Hi @Hobbes_Is_Real,
- With Tier 1 or 2, you can use it on YouTube (without having to add any vocals).
- If let's say you want to distribute to Spotify/ Apple music, our recommendation would be to make 10% of the overall composition (whether layered, edited, shortened, repeated etc.) to have human accompaniment.
- For checking everything you can do with Tier 2 without additional licenses, kindly read about it here: https://help.soundverse.ai/faqs/licensing-model
- If you want to produce a lot of stuff, and want to have full ownership to distribute across channels (If you want to sell it to amazon/ ebay and your own store- you should get full ownership)- our recommendation would be to either get a Tier 2 LTD from AppSumo and then get custom license from our easy to use interface OR write to [email protected] for Enterprise Tier (Tier 3) - that has all the licenses covered.
- To know if you don't have full rights, how it'll cost- It depends on the Tier you're on. It'll be lesser on Tier 2. To see the exact breakdown, you can check our FAQ at https://help.soundverse.ai/faqs/licensing-model
I hope this helps.
Thanks
I actually had one more question on actually features..... I see that you have text to song ability, which is great and one feature I would hope to use a lot (as I am not a natural musician).
But here is a case scenario I could see myself in. I hear a song that I like the style of a lot. Is there a Magic Tool where I can upload that song or link to it, the AI listens to it, and then it generates a new song in a similar style? This would greatly simplify my process to get a good foundation to then work on in the editor. Getting the foundation I see is most challenging for those that might be a little less musically gifted...LOL
Hi again @Hobbes_Is_Real,
Thanks for the suggestions and we fully see the point of such a feature. We already have this technology in place and it should be implemented within next few months. We've noticed that output is not always perfect- but it does a decent job for now.
Thanks for your patience.
Hi @Business Account
- With Tier 2 and without any additional license, you should be able to distribute your compositions to Apple and Spotify. It's clearly mentioned in the Tier information.
- For this use-case no additional purchase is required.
If you have any more questions, don'r hesitate to write to us at [email protected] ; and we would be happy to assist you.
Thanks.
