I'm extremely disappointed with Soundverse! The company has completely broken its promise to loyal users. As a Sumoling, I have not received any updates for my existing plan, even though those updates were clearly promised. Instead, I keep getting prompted to upgrade my plan (and pay more) just to access new features.

This approach feels ungrateful and highly unprofessional. Customer loyalty obviously means nothing to Soundverse. Lifetime updates were promised, but now they’re just trying to squeeze more money out of their early supporters—this is not how you treat your community! I can’t recommend Soundverse to anyone based on this experience.

The terms and conditions include: "All future Creator (Tier 1) or Pro (Tier 2) Plan updates."

Instead of this Appsumo investors (not just financial but resources, time, and effort in the development of Soundverse) have to pay a subscription for updates.

Previously available features have now been removed from all Appsumo accounts. All Appsumo accounts are no longer on the Creator or Pro plan. Appsumo accounts have all been downgraded to a free plan.

A full ownership licence was not included for any of the tiers. This omission has a number of serious implications.

Soundverse makes a mockery of the Appsumo terms and conditions.

Another product that uses Appsumo to get some seed money then abandons the people who supported them early on. I bought this because I thought it was going to GET BETTER, but now that it has been awhile, it has gotten MUCH better, but not for us. Appsumo people are locked out of the improvements, so we are stuck with garbage. I knew it sucked when I bought it but I thought they would improve.

Again, there are a lot of new features, but not for us. I invested at Version 0.5 and they are on Version 2.0 and you have to pay to upgrade. No discounts, no lifetime, no extra credits, just as if you never gave these people your money.

Anyway, I despise companies that do this. So if they come back steer clear. These are users and you will be stuck with the HUGE flaws of beta software.

You will never get responses from support, so you are on your own. Some other reviews claim they are a scam. Investigate after you invest to find out if support is there or not. No support...punch the refund button ASAP. We ran into some issues that we wanted a solution to but couldn't get in touch with anyone. We took an L on this one because we didn't investigate early enough. AppSumo tried contacting them on our behalf after our attempts failed, but nobody could reach support, so tough luck. AppSumo can't do anything because it's not their platform. Being a PLUS member won't help you. As of March 2025, it seems like you need to subscribe to their monthly plan to be able to process anything. They state that they will process you faster if you subscribe, but I tried for a full day to process a 15 sec audio clip, but that never went through. Tried again another day and nothing. As of June 2025, Sumolings no longer have access to 1-minute and 3-minute music generation, unless they subscribe to a monthly plan. You only have access to 15 and 30 second generations like a free tier. This SaaS has officially become Steal And Absent Support. Avoid unless you are interested in donating to them. Investigate before you invest!

I have no regret about purchasing this lifetime deal.
It has a lot that needs to be worked out still

I have over and over prompted for lower octave slower notes (have wasted many tokens)
and never got the speed or tone octave range i need

their higher notes sound too mechanical so I could not use the majority of the attempts
and had to compromise what I exported cause it would not give me lower pitches that I needed

so...if they could iron out this bug it would be Brillant but not quite there yet
