Q: Just want to clarify that I am understanding this correctly...

we have unlimited public soundcasts & 1 podcast. We can still charge for a public soundcast, it just means it can be found/searched for by anyone. Anyone that finds it can also pay for it and then access it. We are allowed to give coupon codes to our customers that allow them to "purchase" the soundcast for free.

Is the only difference between podcasts and soundcasts that we can potentially submit podcasts to other podcast platforms like Apple Podcasts? Are we able to charge for podcast access or only Soundcasts?

Also, I saw in the Q&As that at this tier there isn't an integration to move subscribers over to our email provider. For soundcasts a customer has purchased, we can access their name and email though, correct? We just have to manually move them into our ESP?

Thanks in advance. :)

A: Yes, your understanding is correct. Having a public soundcast does not automatically grant access to anyone unless you choose to make it free. Instead, it simply means that the soundcast is discoverable and has a dedicated landing page.

In Soundwise, we use the term 'Soundcast' to refer to what is commonly known as a podcast. Both podcasts and soundcasts essentially serve the same purpose. A soundcast is essentially a collection of audio tracks accompanied by additional materials. It functions as the fundamental unit for distributing your content. Think of a soundcast as equivalent to an album, an audio course, an audiobook, or even a traditional podcast. On Soundwise, all audio content is organized within these soundcasts. Each soundcast comprises at least one audio track or episode.

Indeed, the integration option is unavailable, but you can manually transfer listener email addresses.

Perfect! And, the one podcast has rss feed, but the soundcast does not, correct?

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. Thank you!
