Duped

Spayee took our money to launch their product and then sold the golden goose to graphy who do not honour the deal made to early investors to raise capital.

The experience not only undermines my faith in those involved, but makes it highly unlikely that I will ever trust offers made through AppSumo in the future. While I think that AppSumo is a great concept and trustworthy in their own right, failing to hold partners to account, undermines the faith that investment in products will pay off.

Negative Tacos for this Dead Product

Seems this now dead LTD offer was used as lead magnet for Graphy.

I barely had the product a few months before they announced it's dead in the water and they were "acquired" by Graphy. Taking our money and leaving us with an "opportunity" to use Graphy (exactly the same softwre) BUT with a 10% revenue share model.

I'll avoid any products this company brings to Appsumo in the future.

Left high and dry...

Spayee was acquired by Graphy. Today they held a conference call to tell all the AppSumo users that we could either 1)continue using Spayee with no further development or support, or 2) migrate to the Graphy platform and pay a 10% revenue share going forward. People tried to help the CEO understand what a bad decision this is, but he essentially refused to listen to our comments (and had us all on mute so we could not ask questions other than via chat) and told us he is honoring the original terms of the deal and has no responsibility to the users who paid for the LTD.

I explained that there are several more advanced competing platforms available, and they charge at most $5,000 per year. With a revenue run rate of $250,000, a customer would have to share $25,000 of their annual revenue for the use of the platform. The CEO said it would be worth it because of all the revenues generated, failing to realize the platform has little to do with the price point of the courses.

I fell for their deal, and now am looking for a new platform.

Graphy is Not Trustworthy

I rarely, if ever write a negative review as the company typically responds in some way to address my issues. In this case, the answers I received confirms my worst fears. Spayee was acquired and pilfered for its technology and it is left in runoff. Purchasers with get 3 months notice before they pull the plug on the product but, they will be pulling the plug. The Graphy Plan is not even close to what was purchased at Spayee. This is a bait and switch. A very bad response by management of Graphy. Based on the small amount of money involved, they are clearly not trying to keep and AppSumo customers happy. I would expect that they change the deal again in the future. They have all but admitted that they will be charging for additional development and the lifetime deal will not be a lifetime deal. I am very disappointed with the response from Graphy. Do not buy from them.

I cannot recommend Spayee / Graphy

I cannot recommend Spayee or it’s successor Graphy.

They will stop all further developments on Spayee - even promised features like GDPR compliance won’t come anymore.
Then they built a „very similar“ platform under a new branding (Graphy) and offer former Spayee customers to migrate to the „new“ platform. With the „new“ platform you get product updates etc. The only problem is: Former Spayee customers have to opt-in for a revenue sharing model (10%).

I have contacted them almost two weeks ago, but haven’t reached any answer, yet.

Bottom line, Spayee/Graphy uses in my perception opaque business practices. Therefore, I recommend to stay away from them & do business with more respectable merchants.
