A: Previous AppSumo Personal plan customers can upgrade their deal limits by stacking codes on their workspace. Not previous Appsumo team plan holders.
Q: Did I get this right: even if I stack 10 codes, basically I have databases that will forever be limited to 25k rows...
so if I have a use case that would require more than that, then it's just not going to happen?
I am asking because I have been looking for something like this but my use case involves about 100 rows per day/3000 rows per month added via API. So if 25k rows is a hard limit, then 9 months after I started, I all the available rows will have been used... and then what?
I like the product but with a hard limit on the number of rows, it seems it is only a feasible tool for small manual projects, 25k rows for any ongoing data collection type automation is very low and will fill up quickly, at which point it will stop working. So why would I build something on a platform that puts very restricting limitations on how much data I can store...? Even if it is a good product and I think this is a good deal for what it does, this limitation makes it useless for me. It's like buying a car that you can only drive for 5000 miles, and then it stops and won't ever start again.
I understand you need more row limits per stack in the workspace.
You could perhaps check out our Business annual plan: www.stackby.com/limited-time-offer. For $249 annually, you get 3 users and 50K rows each per stack and 50 stacks per workspace.
We have seen companies and teams start with one LTD workspace and continue to get more workspaces on annual plan as their needs evolve. Perhaps, that would be the best bet for you as well.
Hope this helps. We're available on our support chat as well.
Thank you, but I'm on AppSumo for a reason - LTDs. And you structured your product offering that excludes me as a user completely. Even if I paid $349/year for your Business plan (which is what I am here to avoid - AS is about LTDs) it would STILL not work.
This limitation is a deal breaker for me, and I assume for anyone who works with large amounts of data. Using my own infrastructure/db I can have unlimited rows in any table, only limited by server resources. You seem to have a great product, but unfortunately, with a limitation that makes it unfeasible for any project that deals with large amounts of data on a regular basis. As an example, one of my databases has about 400k rows (customers) already, I couldn't even import my existing customer base, never mind switching future signups to your platform. I would love to use your platform because the functionality seems great, but this is a fatal flaw for my use case.
Q: Can I apply the new codes to my old workspace (old deal with 10K rows)?
If so, does that mean it will be 15K rows in total (i.e. 10+5)?
Yes, you can add Progress Bar column type in the table to visualize checklist progress on each record. Please check here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bquSRWJNop8.
That is really unfortunate for me. While I am keen to purchase a full 10 codes license, I also know that many of my appsumo purchases are always sitting around not being utilise so I can't have a running sub addon feature. Do let me know if there is an alternate offer. Happy to support and hop on to grab a full license.
Q: Is there an integration coming for shipstation?
They are by far the most popular shipping app that e-commerce uses. Shipstation also houses order history, customer records, sales data, COGS...... all the number-based things that e-commerce needs to export and look at on a regular basis.
Since this is through a 3rd party integration, does this mean I would need to setup automations 'going both directions' if I wanted 2-way sync? Is this even possible?
Is 2-way sync possible with your native integrations?
Zapier has the ability do the 2-way sync once you choose both the apps. You can create a multi-step workflow via Zapier. It's easy to setup and get going.
Thanks, Rachit
Q: I previously obtained Stackby's AS-5 deal on Appsumo (2021).
Use it well. Now I want to increase my number of users. But this time, the number of stack rows is less than it was at that time, 30K. If I add more codes now, how many rows will my Stackby have? Thanks!
This time if you add 10 codes (max stack), you will get 25K rows per stack (instead of 30K), 25GB storage per stack, 25MB file upload limit, 12 users + more premium features.
Along with the 12 users, for any additional user - you can add for an additional $7/user/month. For similar products, the market rates are $20-$25/user/month. We have seen full-stack holders holders scale their LTD plans to even over 50 users by paying an additional fee.
Please reach out to us on support to see what we can do for you.
Q: Why is exporting data behind a paid, "powerup" wall?
Is that something you're willing to include in this plan? This looks like an incredibly useful tool, but I'm hesitant to move the organizations I work with onto it when there's an additional fee to export (backup) data. The platform encourages importing data, doesn't back up the data itself (?), and then charges an additional fee to gain access to a collection of powerups that would allow you to export data (presumably before it disappears, since it's only kept for six months on Economy plan?). It seems like of all the powerups, the ability to export data should be included in every plan (except the free plan).
Q: Just a word of warning:
For the old deal, we were told we were getting mapped to the Business Plan, well it ...
turns out that features have shipped in the Business Plan, but not been added to the AppSumo accounts. I wouldn't really trust this team honestly. They have been pretty skeevy since Day 1 and this is their what? 4th? 5th? time back on AppSumo. If you have to come back this many times, that alone raises a red flag. Don't worry, they say this deal won't be available again on AppSumo - give it another 6 months after this one ends and I'm sure they'll be back with another cash grab.
A: Sorry, all the old plans are mapped to the Business plan.
There are numerous features we've added to the Business plan, and it's all available to the old accounts :)
Only Stackby Apps Marketplace is newly launched as an add-on to your old plans! We launched it in Q4 2022.
Coming back to AppSumo after 1.5 years as a precursor to our Stackby 2.0 launch! Working rigorously since over 5 years to make the platform, a platform of choice. I bet not many companies in the space have been around for so long.
You've been critical about us since a long time, I would love to work with you & turn it around this time.
Also, they are dead against users asking for a change in email. Even if users have owned the account for 5 years. What are we going to do after 5 years? Just up the data and leave? This company has shown to be very inflexible in the way they do things. Their support has repeatedly told me that management doesn't allow a change in email despite numerous requests. Deal is total red flag for me.
We have refrained in changing emails as we've seen LTD owners selling Stackby LTD off the market. We are however changing emails if you're changing to a new email domain in your business.
We have done that for a lot of AppSumo customers and continue doing so if they have a valid reason.
Please reach out to us on support and we'll help you the best we can.
Happy to know this. I don’t understand the problem with allowing someone to transfer an account they purchased. You f your service is that good the secondary market will reflect a stupid high price that actually makes everyone want you more. It tunes into whether I’d want to purchase an account for stupid money or go for a lower monthly. Companies need flexibility. I personally never sold anything but I did get hacked and had to change emails. The emails were normal gmails too.
Please reach out to us on support if you're on the same boat and have a valid reason that your account got hacked. We'll be happy to do it in such cases.
But for most part, we've seen some user selling LTDs off-market (sometimes at a discount) for no reason whatsoever and that hurts our product reputation.
Thanks, Rachit
Q: 1.
Can previous AppSumo users stack to get additional features and improve limits?
2. Have you seen what they’re doing at rows.com with the OpenAI and Notion integrations? Does Stackby have any plans for similar integrations?
A: 1. Previous AppSumo users on Personal plan can stack the codes and increase the limits of that plan. If you were on old AppSumo team plan (2020 launch), then you can stack the codes in another workspace in Stackby.
2. Yes, we do have OpenAI integration planned in Stackby. Please check our product roadmap here and upvote here: https://stackby.canny.io/feature-requests/p/open-ai-integration.
Man, I have the old deal plus an internal upgrade from last year.. I just want to combine the codes from this deal with my existing workspace. Why complicate it for everyone?
Please fix this so we can simply upgrade our existing workspace rather than deal with unnecessary these complications.
Unfortunately, the stacking does not work for old team plans. Those are really old plans. Stacking will work on the last deal - Personal plan if you have that.
You can however add a new workspace and add codes to that workspace.
Stacks are databases in the workspace. Each stack is basically a collection of tables, with row limits. Stack = Custom Database, Workflow or Custom App.
You get more stacks and more rows/stack with every additional code stacking.
Q: Hi, 1) Is it possible to use Custom API to connect with the data that we want?
2) If not yet, you are going to include unlimited API usage to Sumolings?
Best
Rachit_Stackby
May 14, 2024A: Hi there,
1. The Custom API module is in the roadmap, and will be part of our Apps marketplace (launching soon).
2. API usage is based on the number of rows in your stack and the API service you're planning to use, we won't limit otherwise.
Hope this helps,
Rachit

So this round, powerups is an annual addon of $129. This maybe a deal breaker for a 10 codes stack.

Understand that I can't upgrade my old workspace, right?
What's your old workspace? Stackby Personal plan or old team plan?
You can upgrade if it's Stackby Personal plan, not from the old team plan.
Q: Is there a way to "chain" some stacks together?
I don't have a need for 40 stacks at max stacking. But I do have a need for 1-2 stacks that allow 100k+ rows.
And no I'm not interested (right now) in your enterprise plan. I don't have any experience with your product to justify jumping into that plan.
