3 weeks of dead API, $399 payment invisble in their own billing

Went all in on this: Tier 5 (5 codes, $495) in Dec 2025, plus $399 for Powerups addon directly thru Stripe after Rachit (co-founder/CTO) offered it in their in-app chat. $894 total.
The web UI is actualy decent, thats the 2 star part. Column types, views, forms work well enought if you just click around in the browser.
But if you need the API, which is the whole point of a Tier 5 deal, run away:
1) API has been completley dead since Feb 23 2026. Every single endpoint returns HTTP 500. Not intermittently - ALL of them, ALL the time, for 3 WEEKS and counting. The error is a null pointer in their Express.js backend where the error handler passes the error message string as the HTTP status code instead of a number. I had to read the stack trace they accidentally expose in the response to diagnose THEIR bug. This is day-1 level stuff.
2) The PATCH endpoint (rowupdate) has never worked. Not once in my entire time using the product. The only workaround is delete + recreate the row. In production. With 2000+ records. Yeah.
3) My $399 stripe payment doesnt exist in their system. Add-ons billing page shows "No records found". I have the stripe receipt, Rachit confirmed activation in the support ticket, but the platform itself says i never paid. How does that even happen.
4) Automation runs - Tier 5 listing says 500/month. My workspace shows 100. Rachit said hed fix it, then the API went down. Cant verify. 3 weeks later still cant verify.
5) No invoice after 2+ months. Im an EU business customer, gave them VAT number and company details same day i paid. When Rachit finaly responded he sent a NEW invoice showing "Amount due: $399" as if the payment never hapened. This isnt optional under EU VAT directive.
6) Zero communication about the outage. No status page, no email, no in-app banner. Nothing. I found out because my stripe webhooks stoped processing. Had to diagnose the whole thing myself by reading their server error logs that they leak in HTTP responses.
Support pattern: super fast and friendly during the sales conversation for powerups. After payment? Crickets. My formal complaint (Gleap ticket #12909) with a 72h deadline got a partial response that didnt even aknowledge the API being down. Deadline expired. No followup since.
Ive since migrated ~4500 records out of stackby. The migration took less time than waiting for their API to come back lol. Filed for refund of the $495 thru appsumo (handled well, shoutout to Leah). The $399 powerups payment is in active chargeback dispute since stackby wont even show it in their own billing system.
