Q: Why can't I leave the review for this bait and switch & terms violation deal - $99 for a "Free" Plan?
I didn’t buy a Lifetime Deal to be quarantined in a "legacy" tier that’s essentially a free account. I paid $99 for what was then a "Basic" paid plan. Now, Startups.com has moved the goalposts, creating a $49/mo "Pro" tier for live sessions while dumping early adopters into a devalued silo.
The "exclusive" content? Mostly free on YouTube & website now. The live workshops — the real value — are paywalled. The original terms promised we’d be mapped to new plans, so you decided to invent "Pro" to bypass obligations?
It’s a disrespect to our AppSumo community of startup supporting movement to take our money & "grandfather" us into obsolescence. We paid $99 for a plan you now give away for free. In the world of SaaS, such unethical betrayal of early LTD supporters & "feature stripping," is a fastest way to torch a brand's reputation.

Edited May 21, 2026A: Thanks for pushing on this. Going back to the original AppSumo listing, you're right that the live workshops and weekly live sessions were core to what you bought, and we didn't carry that through cleanly when we built out the Pro tier.
So here's the fix. LTD holders from the AppSumo deal now get access to the live workshop programming and live sessions. No charge, no upsell. You'll see it reflected in your account next week. If anything isn't showing up by 5/21/2026, reply here or email [email protected] and we'll sort it directly.
On the public content point: we do put some educational material on YouTube and the public site to reach founders earlier in their journey. That doesn't reduce what's inside the platform for you, but we hear why it can feel like overlap. The live programming and the deeper member layer are where the real value continues to sit.
We're a founder team, and we appreciate you holding us to the deal you actually bought instead of just walking. Early AppSumo supporters helped get this platform off the ground, and we want to keep that deal intact as the platform grows.
Appreciate your accountability in honoring the original terms. It takes real leadership for a founder team to spot a system change that left early supporters behind and pivot to fix it. Bringing AppSumo community of engaged entrepreneurs back into live sessions will boost the energy and growth of those calls and is big win for all of us. Will watch for the AC updates & cheers to growing together!
I still cannot leave a review on AppSumo, maybe it's a system glitch. If it becomes available as an option, I will be sure to reflect my respect for your support of our community by fixing the issue so promptly.
Thank you.
