I'm really surprised by the quality of the tool and the average rating there.
The main advantage of Stencil is their negotiation with icon providers, and this is the good part
but ...
the search of icon is not really finding stuff. I found icons en 5 seconds on the source site and hours on stencil (I don't talk about icon not licensed). We need at least :
- a documentation of the search terms : what are the prefix (it seems it help to refine the source), the keyword (sometimes link with collection?)
- some help to refine the search (eg. show the keyword of an icon and make it clickable, some filters)
and since the tool is damn slow (only in Europe ?), it is killing the product

May 9, 2024Hey there! Sorry to hear there have been some difficulties with the search. There are some odd times where our icon provider API's can become a bit slow or unresponsive. We do our best to keep that to a minimum, but it can happen from time to time.
Great suggestion for the search operators. We'll definitely get a knowledge base article together for that to help make searches more effective. Thanks!
