Best Purchase in 2025! – Keeps Getting Better (udpated review)
SubEasy is a one-of-one.
if you wanna take over the universe, pick it up!
i bought it in january 2025, and i haven't seen any other tool do what this one does. i've mostly used it to caption music videos – but they just released karaoke-style subs in the latest update, so i'm intrigued.
the team's been working their badonkadonk off.
they offer rock solid customer support.
Chris – one of the founders – always writes back fast in the chat. and Terry's been lurking in the AppSumo Q&A section, ready to hit you with a banger answer. more and more founders take us for a ride after they get a bag (full of 5-taco reviews). but not them.
i've bought so many tools since 2022.
most of them ended up in the lifetime deal graveyard.
we Sumolings got ghosted, burned & rug-pulled so many times over the last couple of years. we often give tools that come back the side-eye treatment. but when one deal hits, comes back, and hits again: it hits like a home run.
SubEasy is the Shohei Ohtani of LTDs.

Sep 20, 2026Luka — thank you. This one really means a lot.
You've been with us since January 2025, which means you've seen every rough edge along the way. What you said about deals going quiet after the launch is the thing we think about most — people paid once and trusted us to keep going. We're still here, still shipping.
Brand new Karaoke-style subs just landed. Please go break them and tell us what's...

Getting better - a professional team approach
We are making good use of this tool, and we are following their roadmap. When reported some issues, the response was technically landed. Also some requests to improve turkish support were put into clear consideration and found reasonable, instead of trying to deflect the topic. That is very important for product and customer retention.
Subtitles and dubbing is very easy to prepare. A way to file versions - which can now be seen to work on them- can be good, keeping finals and versions to discard.
The App is polished, documented, has clean dashboard, all makes also easy for team collaboration adoption. Token use so far very good too.
I can give 4 tacos easyly to this to motivate them for 2 more, as I see room for tunning, not complexing!
Keep growing.

Sep 20, 2026Thank you — and thank you for being specific. That is far more useful to us than a generic five.
On versioning: I will be straight with you, it is not on the roadmap today, and you are the first person to raise it. That is exactly why I want to understand it properly before we decide anything. How does your team handle this right now — do you need named versions with full history, or just a "this...

I like it!
So far I'm very happy with Subeasy. It's definitely my preferred way to add and edit subs. Lots of nice sub effects and very user freindly, easy to work with. A ton of other features too besides sub editing, such as video downloaders etc. very happy with it! 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮

Sep 14, 2026Hi Peter,
Thank you so much for the 5 tacos! 🌮
"My preferred way to add and edit subs" might be the best compliment we could ask for — that's exactly the bar we set for ourselves when building the editor.
Really glad you're enjoying the sub effects too. And nice catch on the free tools — the downloaders don't get much spotlight, but they're there because we kept needing them ourselves.
If you...

Good Idea, but horrible output (Dubbing).
[update: Edited the tacos from 1 to 3, as Terry did an excellent job in answering in a nice and understandable way. I hope to update the review another and final time after the promised update in two weeks]
I bought this tool hoping it would fulfill my exact use case: translating live webinars into other languages. Unfortunately, the current output is not suitable for professional environments. Here are the main issues:
Voice Cloning Quality:
The cloned voice sounds nothing like me. While the translation from German to English is technically correct, the accent and pronunciation sound highly unnatural and completely artificial. For professional webinars, this quality is unfortunately unacceptable.
Speed Adjustment & Pacing:
The system forces the translated audio to strictly fit the original timeline, leading to terrible pacing. The speed fluctuates constantly—switching from normal speed to an extremely accelerated, distorted rush, followed by abrupt 2–3 second silences before the next section starts. Competitors like HeyGen handle this much better by dynamically stretching the timeline to keep the voice sounding natural.I really wanted to like this tool, but in its current state, I can only give it 1 star. I am happy to update my review as soon as these technical issues are resolved.

Edited Sep 1, 2026Hi Marco,
Thanks for laying it out this precisely — both points are actionable, so let me
answer them separately.
Voice cloning: you're right, and it's the part we're not happy with either. The
current clone doesn't hold up for professional use, and German-to-English is
exactly where the accent and pronunciation break down. One other German user has
mentioned something similar, so that language...
