What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

The idea for SubEasy came from a personal need. When my wife, pregnant at the time, struggled to find translated subtitles for her favorite Asian TV dramas, I stepped in. Using OpenAI’s Whisper for transcription and GPT for translation, I created a solution to transcribe and translate subtitles. After successfully localizing a Chinese drama, my wife suggested turning it into a product. I’m passionate about SubEasy because it solves a problem we faced, and it helps others enjoy content globally, while combining my love for AI and family.
